You guys should really not feel bad (or search for excuses) when criticising a game when it deserves so! I hate looking for errata for games I just bought. Mistakes happen, we all get it, but it shouldn’t be the norm for rules to have mistakes imo. Love your reviews and channel, keep up the good work! ❤

Stalingrad pocket was actually their first SCS game

I think the original Stalingrad Pocket was the first SCS series game from The Gamers. The second edition was redone as an "OCS Lite" game.

The stuff about color choices would drive me nuts. Color is not just "chrome". You have to be able to scan the board and identify units quickly. Counter design is a big part of that and color is a big part of counter design.

I'm curious how it compares to Bitter Woods, Designer Edition, in terms of complexity and length to play the full game.

It’s probably a less complex. But this is about 45min-60mim a turn, and 16 turns. Could be a little faster with experience. Never played Bitter Woods.

@@ThePlayersAid Thanks! BGG rates this a bit harder, but the BGG difficulty ratings are only broadly reliable, at best, so I didn't want to count on them. I have Bitter Woods, but I haven't gotten it to the table yet. Now, you've gotten me interested in picking up Ardennes II.
