Died on my birthday last year and I'll be having a GREAT DAY, not just for me for the man. Simon Cowell, what does he know?? the men they couldn't hang,another great band. if you haven't heard them listen to the Green Fields of France,my Funeral song. I met him a few times, he was such brilliant company. What a sad day. The last of the great poetic singer songwriters. Btw, his English teacher when he was 11 read his essay homework and was so amazed by it he sent it to the headmaster of the hyper exclusive (and expensive) Westminster public school. Shane was then given a scholarship to Westminster and was considered by all his class as a genius, until he was expelled for drug dealing. Dominic Lawson was in his class - he never got over being beaten in English Composition by the Irish lout.
