Beautiful Doug. As you were doing this project, I was thinking about layering 3/8" pieces of alternating of wood and resins together to make a vase or bowl. I would different woods and pastel colors. I would love to do woodturning but can't because of physical limitations. However, I can do other things instead. Have a blessed weekend and beginning of anther week with all your projects around your place.

MPC did that with resin and burl shavings… the resin disappears (melts?) and the shavings look like they’re floating in ice. It was pretty cool!

Those shavings are beautiful, they would look beautiful in clear resin . Lol those shavings are massive . You almost can’t see inside for them. I was hoping you’d cast this one in clear . I think the color was eggplant, it should have been purple and the ph in the resin changed the color, it does tend to happen with purples
