I worked at Disney as a photopass photographer, mainly with the characters. Meet and greets were limited to 20 min sets, but the parades lasted about 45 mins start to finish. Then stage performances were usually in that 20-25 min mark. Yes, it is as hot as you think. It’s heavy. And it takes incredible strength to move around like that. I hope that’s his only piece for the night because that would be exhausting.

I think he was specifically the son of a rich lady character, but I could be wrong, it's been so long since then lol. He can't watch the ballet without ~the flashbacks~ to practices tho so he doesn't, but I do because I was a jazz dancer by that point and never did a formal ballet production myself, so I still thoroughly enjoy it XD

I'd love to see you reacting to Finnish National Ballet's performances. They have a stage24 service where they have recordings of various performances. At some point they had Little Mermaid, Snowqueen and Sleeping Beauty (and of course Nutcracker) and soon they'll add this year's Christmas ballet: A Christmas Carol. And I bet next spring they'll add Romeo and Juliet when it hits the stage. The Finnish National Ballet has taken to rotating different Chrismas ballets on different years so it is not always just the Nutcracker. I think Snowqueen was added some ten years ago and now A Christmas Carol is joining the party.

I had the standard little girl ballerina dreams, they were crushed when my mom said my teacher told her I was as graceful as an elephant. 🤨 Elephants are actually graceful but I'm sure it wasn't intended to be a compliment, lol. I've seen the Nutcracker many times with my mom, I'm not sure which company it was but they'd perform at the University of Maine in Machias each year back in the late 90s. I had such a crush on one of the dancers, a guy named Alexander Zendzian. I got curious in the last couple years after finding his name in one of my journals and googled him, I think he's in the San Francisco area if I remember correctly. I've always loved ballet, the grace and strength of the dancers and the beautiful costumes. I never became a dancer but I did become an artist and dancers are some of my favorite subjects to draw and paint. Also a big fan of Edgar Degas and his dancer pieces.
