10/10 for the list. If I were to extend the list, it would be something like 1. Kanto: Pikachu, Charizard, Squirtle, Bulbasaur and Snorlax 2. Johto: Heracross 3. Hoenn: Sceptile, Swellow 4. Sinnoh: Infernape, (While ash has a pretty good sinnoh team overall, his staraptor hasn't defeated as many important trainers as his swellow and none of his pokemon here apart from infernape have as impressive feats). 5. Unova: ~ Maybe Krookodile(I don't think any of ash's unova pokemon are as strong as pokemon he caught from previous regions) 6. Kalos: Greninja(Ash-Greninja)(His goodra, noivern and rest of his Kalos team is weak. They have struggled against even mediocre level pokemon and don't have as impressive feats). Hence, Ash's best team, according to my personal opinion would be 1. Pikachu 2. Charizard / Switch with Infernape 3. Greninja /Ash Greninja 4. Snorlax / Switch with Heracross 5. Swellow 6. Sceptile / Switch with Bulbasaur

In Kalos all his Pokemons were really fast (except Goodra). Fast Pokemons means more intense back to back moves, thus more enjoyable to watch. LSA D Kingler shows amazing potential and is wasting away at Oak's. Seriously, this could be Ash's most OP Pokémon if he used it more and trained it further. The feats that it accomplished with such little training and being smaller than average for its size, as Krabby at least, shows that it is a huge powerhouse. That is, if it got more training than it's gotten. And many powerful Pokémon have been defeated by Misty's psyduck.. it's actually an amazing Pokémon when it gets a bad enough headache. Heracross is above average, especially since it defeated all odds with the Scizor. He isn't used much sadly, but from what's been show he too can be a mega powerhouse. I place him side by side next to Snorlax because of his fighting spirit that burns within whereas Snorlax is just doing it to do it. No passion therefore has never and never will go as far as Heracross will. Staraptor is his best bird Pokémon by far. Swallow was good but no where near as good as Staraptor. Especially for being a bird Pokémon, it shows amazing potential and if he refined its skilled and put it to the most potential as it could, it could rival some others on my list. Krookodile has a good battle history and combat rating. That shows he can battle well, but hasn't exactly had the chance Sceptile did to permanently place it into the list. He is a powerhouse without a doubt, but if he was trained further and had bigger battles than maybe he would be on the list. Noivern has had next to no battle experience. However, it has a powerful move pool and will. If he capitalized on that and wasn't scared to use him, he could be his best dragon type (even though he has like 2). I completely agree with your comments on Bulbasaur. He'd be #8 on my list if I was making a top 10. Squirtle uses odd methods that seem to work with it. However, I think if he evolved to wartortle then he'd be a lot more powerful as he still retains the majority of his speed but also gains a huge boost in attack. My top 10 imo are 1) Charizard 2) Infernape 3) Greninja 4) Pikachu 5) Sceptile 6) Heracross 7) Snorlax 8) Bulbasaur 9) Staraptor 10) Krookodile 11) Squirtle 12) Kingler (I WANT HIM TO TRAIN KINGLER MORE SO HE CAN BE HIGHER SO BADLY UGH)

less redundancy? half of his team in sinnoh was quad weak to ice, and staraptor who was times two weak to ice as well. also, considering gible nor buizel reached their maximum potential by not evolving, ash's kalos team straight up outclasses his sinnoh team. i actually ran simulations in pokemon showdown, and nine out of ten times, ash's kalos team trumps his sinnoh team. wanna know why? goodra's ice beam attack melts, or should i say freezes through half of the sinnoh team single handedly, even more so if you consider substituting pikachu for gible to keep pokemon locked as only the ones ash found in his journey through those respective regions. even at a numbers disadvantage, the fact that ash's kalos team is fully evolved speaks volumes of how the outcome would be. take into consideration that infernape, ash's fastest pokemon in sinnoh gets outsped by every single flying type on ash's kalos team spells trouble. even taking this into anime logic rather than game logic, and even if infernape could somehow manage to stay around till the end, greninja is still by far a stronger pokemon. unlike infernape, greninja's ability to power up does not require him to be at low health. battle bond allows greninja to be stronger than most, if not all non mega evolution pokemon, and stronger than most mega pokemon. there's no way infernape alone could handle that. to scale their power, i'll provide an example. when ash fought flint, an elite four of sinnoh, his infernape fought flint's infernape. despite not being at any type disadvantage, he lost miserably, not even getting a hit in. when ash fought diantha, his greninja was at a minor disadvantage to gardevoir's typing, and yet despite that, not only did he score a hit with greninja in base form, his ash greninja forced diantha to mega evolve, else she'd have lost. even after mega evolving, diantha played defensively for the rest of the match, not even able to get a single hit in on greninja. sorry for the mini rant, but i kinda like getting invested in power scaling stuff, especially when it comes to pokemon. your list is pretty accurate, but just switch sinnoh with kalos, and its perfect.

My opinion of Ash’s ultimate team Charizard Moveset: flamethrower, dragon rage, thunder punch, seismic toss Greninja Moveset: water shuriken, aerial ace, night slash, ice beam Infernape Moveset: flamethrower, flare blitz, close combat, dig Pikachu Moveset: thunderbolt, iron tail, electro web, quick attack Snorlax Moveset: hyper beam, body slam, ice punch, focus punch Sceptile Moveset: leaf blade, solar beam, dragon claw, thunder punch Yes I know I put two fires types in the team but at least both of them have a secondary typing that’s also helpful. Also type coverage isn’t as big as a thing in the anime. Take Ash’s Kalos team for example. It didn’t have good type coverage at all but since the team consist of strong Pokémon it was super good. For the moves Charizard has dragon rage. In the games it only does 40 damage but if you’ve seen the anime it obviously does way more than that. Now it also seems like dragon rage was replaced by dragon pulse and if it was then Charizard can have dragon pulse. You could also replace flamethrower with overheat if you think that’s a better idea. For Greninja I replaced cut with night slash because in the anime they’re basically the same thing except night slash is a dark type move and that would make for great coverage. I also got rid of double team in the place of ice beam because while double team was helpful after seeing the Ash vs Alain battle I realized Greninja didn’t need double team. Also with ice beam Greninja would do great against dragon and grass types. For Infernape I replaced mach punch for close combat because close combat is one of the strongest fighting type moves. Also it would be a great finishing move just like Stephen’s Sawk. You could get rid of flare blitz because of the recoil and replace it with thunder punch. I think the other movesets are obvious on why there great but if you think they could use a better moveset tell me what moveset you think that would be.

I also want to bring attention to Ash's Butterfree. Having a win loss ratio of an unknown number technically, it could also be stated as one of Ash's best if not best overall. No where near the Charizard, Greninja, or Infernape damage or attack levels, but it has an impressive ratio that is higher than all others. Defeating team rockets Koffing and Ekans as a Caterpie, the bug catchers Pinser, unknown amount of Beedrills (I counted 14 Beedrills shown, 3 weedles), the Raticate in the SS Ann, and with the help of Pikachu once again defeating Team Rocket during Bye Bye Butterfree, it has a hefty stack of victories under its belt for its short time in his team. A loss to Misty's Staryu and a trainer's Sandshrew are really the only ones that count. Unless you REALLY want to count the time where it was knocked out by the giant tentacruel but that's a bit unfair cause it's a FREAKING GIANT TENTACRUEL THE SIZE IF SKYSCRAPERS. Oh and the "tie/unfinished battle" during the metapod fight. Sure it's movepool wasn't spectacular or anything but it had plenty of room to grow and would have amounted to an amazing team asset if he decided to keep him. So if you're gonna go off win loss ratios, Butterfree is at the top of the list cause of the 17 or so Beedrills and weedles it defeated. So let's give it a solid 22-1-2 (22-1-3 if you're a prick for counting the mutant Pokémon). Giving it an 88% or 84.6% depending on your method, making it Ash's most successful win-loss Pokémon ratio. Butterfree is OP. The only way they could nerf it was by getting rid of it 😂

Ash's best overall team would depend on the opponent he is facing. However, if one were to list the strongest pokemon of Ash's from every region, the list would be somewhat like this: 1. Kanto: Pikachu, Charizard, Squirtle, Bulbasaur and Snorlax 2. Johto: Heracross 3. Hoenn: Sceptile, Swellow 4. Sinnoh: Infernape, (While ash has a pretty good sinnoh team overall, his staraptor hasn't defeated as many important trainers as his swellow and none of his pokemon here apart from infernape have as impressive feats). 5. Unova: ~ Maybe Krookodile(I don't think any of ash's unova pokemon are as strong as pokemon he caught from previous regions) 6. Watching video as we speak, but off the top of my head if i had to pick his 6 1.Pikachu (This is a given. Beat several legendaries and of course is his day 1) 2.Charizard (Fan-Favorite Powerhouse and arguably his second strongest, also beat some legendaries) 3.Greninja (Another fan favorite, may even be stronger than charizard due to its type advantage and boost with ash Greninja form) 4.Sceptile (His best Hoenn Poke managed to take down the then undefeated Darkrai owned by Tobias) 5.Infernape (His best Sinnoh Poke, had arguably the most character development out of all his pokes, and became VERY strong after mastering blaze ability) 6. Melmetal (This one was tough, coz you have MANY choices. You have classics like Snorlax/Heracross that have been through a lot of battles, you got Incineroar that took out Kukui's Incineroar which was his easily his best poke, Pseudo-legend Goodra and Ultrabeast Naganadel who are very strong in their own right, but I went with Melmetal since its a mythical pokemon, an extremely strong powerhouse that probably would've taken out half of Kukui's lineup if it didn't get matched up against his type advantaged Incineroar and because he balances the team's overall poor defense out with its bulk)
