This green pool hadn’t been used for over a YEAR! Satisfying pool clean!

In today’s job we had a pool that hadn’t been used or even looked at for over a year. A good few hours work and we got it looking as good as new! The results are amazing!

On the whole it’s not a very dirty pool, with only a year. My guess is they bought the house and they thought things would just be okay without maintenance and the electricity costs of the pump, if they weren’t using it. Until one day they looked outside…

A pool is usually always "salvageable" and can always be cleaned, if the issue is just algae and plant matter like this. It's only when the surface material of the pool gets damaged that it's no longer usable. For instance, a pool that has a liner that gets ripped will have to be replaced, or a pool that has tiles that get cracked will need to be replaced, but if it's just dirty it can always be cleaned.

Are tile pools pretty common in the UK? The majority of pools in my area are plaster/pebble. In Phoenix, Az if your pool turns green like that, the city will fine you. Gets attached to your water bill so there is no avoiding it. Genius, if you ask me. Good work, gents!

I don't know the weather in the UK, but I grew up in Maryland, and we had to close our pool every year, the pool man had to empty the lines so they wouldn't freeze. We aren't even that cold in the winter and the lines were about 2 feet below the ground.
