Been a virgin until my 22 birthday when I went too far, I didn’t really want to do anything with the girl I had recently met but like he said in his sermon it usually ends up different then we planned, especially when we got on that moving sidewalk in the wrong direction. I had thought I was a decent Christian but after having done it, I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t think or focus, I felt so much regret and shame that I started having thoughts of suicide. I had always planned to be true to myself but I didn’t. I felt absolutely horrible that I betrayed myself and more importantly God. After feeling the emptiness in my chest for a few days I knew that it was a sign from God, he was using my mistake to correct my faith. I found this sermon and cried my eyes out. I repented and cut all lust out of my life. I am saved by Jesus Christ!

I love you as a brother in christ. I have been a christian for around 7 months and i was sadly very sexually involved before that. I am a freshman in college and i must admit that i have failed sexually a few times since i have started college. I let myself hang around women that were just like the ones from my old life. I failed tonight with a girl from my past and i feel like i personally stuck the spear into the side of Jesus on that cross. Ive been there myself after years of devotion to my Jesus and felt disgust shame impure like GOD would never forgive me since I sinned against him in such a vile way.I dealt with shame ,guilt and condemnation and repeatedly built- myself up after I even repented 1 John1 vs 9 and much prayer Im able to move past this.Being single as a Christian is difficult but being single without Jesus is much worse

Thank you for breaking this down. There isn't enough teaching out there. I am a born-again Christian (2007) but I believe the Holy Spirit spoke to me when I was less than 10 years old that sex before marriage is off limits. I knew this before I knew it was in the Bible and despite the opposite behaviors in my family dynamic. So far, I am still holding on and trusting the Lord at the age of 47. He has done many fierce things to "keep" me, so I have to believe this is His Will. However, it can become cloudy when you are saturated in a world that is not waiting, including many Christians. I started to wonder, is this truly Biblical or is it just something I believe due to a fear of God? He has called me into dating again (as of July) and I am following His lead, expecting Him to continue to "keep" me until my husband arrives. It is very difficult and lonely, but I am holding on. Thank you so much for this teaching. It's just what I needed to hear this morning to refresh my soul. Jesus rocks!!!

I am for the first time dating a 'Godly man'. And I made the mistake of treating him like a society man. I used manipulating words and tempted him, to the point where I reflected on my tricks and was ashamed. I placed him in a tough spot where he had to reject my body a couple of times... He is further in his relationship with God than me, this is a not a comparison but a realization. He has protected me by not allowing me to have it my way. I have intoxicated our relationship from the beginning and I wish I could hit a restart button... but I can not. I get to accept the consequences to my rebellion and learn from this. Hands down the best explanation of the meaning/purpose of sex I've ever heard of. The Holy Spirit was all over this pastor! I'm 39 years old and learned scripture and gained an understanding of sex that I've never received before ever! I'm not sure what age is the appropriate age but this exact video should be shown in schools, churches, any where and everywhere, this message was seemingly perfect and it needs to be spread and shown everywhere! Our society/world is burning down due to sexually immoral, it is a cancer that has spread like wild fire and it is consuming us! Have to give him credit for even talking about this. Most pastors are afraid to get near it. For those of you who are wondering why we don't get taught these things, I'd like to remind you that Satan is the God of this world. I like this sermon. Although I wasn't raised in a religious household, I had a pretty good sense of the law before I grew up and read the Bible. I was mocked publicly by most of the girls at school for saying that sex before marriage was wrong. They would tease me, mock flirt with me, and call me a prude and a Puritan. No girls would talk to me, so by the time I was turning 21 and I had had no girlfriend, I was getting desperate - thinking I was doomed to be alone all my life. I wasn't shy. I approached and talked to most women, but they wouldn't talk to me. For years, my mother had urged me that I had to be sexual with women to get a girlfriend. I decided to try her way because that seemed to be what women wanted. (This was in 1983.) I picked out the prettiest girl around and acted sexually forward with her, although I didn't force myself on her, and I didn't need to do anything to seduce her. All I needed to do was act a little naughty and suggestive and she took over from there. I was in bed with her the next day. I didn't mention it to her, but I knew God would consider us married and so that was how I treated the relationship, even presuming I would have to marry her in time. But things were soon going bad. I was finding that I didn't like her personality at all. She completely dismissed me when I spoke of my own plans for my life. She simply announced that I would work for her father and I had to change my political ideals from conservative to liberal - extreme liberal. I couldn't believe it. Then she was trying to push me to engage in oral sex, and she said her previous boyfriends had loved oral sex. Sodomy - no way, absolutely not! Then she threatened to find another man for oral sex if I continued to refuse. And I caught her trying to make herself pregnant. I broke up with her, and I reasoned that she had given me more than enough cause for divorce, by Biblical standards. She had been assuring me that she would commit adultery. I had made a bad mistake, but she was not the worst of the nightmare discovery I made. Other women throughout the dorm, many of whom I had tried to talk to numerous times in the previous year, who would not give me the time of day, were actually grabbing me in the hall and insisting that they wanted to get to know me. When I was a virgin and pure, with the best of intentions, looking only for love and marriage, and never in any way rude or aggressive to women, they all hated me. But when they knew I was having sex with a woman I wasn't married to, they went mad with desire for me. They treated me like a rock star, and when I asked them why, they said I had changed. I hadn't changed that much, and I wasn't planning to continue in that way. I vowed to myself never to make that mistake again. I tried to go out with some of those women without touching them, but they hated it. One woman complained that I was boring, and I understood that she was talking about sex. She wanted to be ravished. But I had this understanding that premarital sex was adultery, because if you are having sex with someone you don't intend to marry, or with many such women, they will be other men's wives and you will be passing heartbreak, psychological problems, spiritual problems, and even possibly VD into someone else's marriage. It bothered me that so many women wanted me when they should have been avoiding me. What was wrong with women? I never had sex or did anything sexual with any woman since. I was still looking for true love, but not finding it. I sometimes feel bad about it, especially when I meet a woman who seems to need love but comes on to me sexually, thus showing herself to not be the right kind of woman. I've known many such women, but when they pushed for sex and I had to explain to them that I didn't want to do that before marriage, they raged at me, insulted me, and went off spreading rumors that I was gay. Feminists like to complain that men don't take them seriously, but a woman who behaves like that when a man merely says how he would prefer to do things shows him no respect at all. And typically, when I would talk or write about these matters, everyone hates me. They say: "You're a jerk!" They seem to be suggesting that men who don't appease women or do things the way women want are jerks. I'm old enough now that it's best just to remain alone. (I think part of my problem was that I looked like a bad boy. I argued with teachers and other authorities, who kept calling me a bad boy and sending me to detention, and I was poor, dressed in second hand clothes, covered with grass, mud, and blood stains from fights. Later, I wore leather jackets, jeans, and heavy boots because they were practical. I suppose I attracted the wrong element.) There's one more thing I need to add. I view the law and love as one in the same. I believe Jesus said something like the law being love, or love being the basis of the law. If you love, you don't break the law. Adultery or fornication make love impossible. The Holy Spirit will flee from a relationship like a dove if it is brutalized by lawlessness. And all the laws are of one piece. You can't choose to obey most of them but disobey one. If a woman or man pushes for sex without marriage, they don't love. It was fairly obvious to me when women I barely knew exploded with wrath at me after trying to seduce me. They couldn't even be calm, reasonable, or gracious. Love was something unknown to them.

@@nannyedias_ No luck, but searching only puts me in the wrong mind set, because it emphasized the fact that there is nothing anywhere. It multiplies rejection by thousands of times. I see their eyes and I don't like the deadness, depression, disinterest, fear, and contempt that I see. I have to go around rejecting everybody because I don't see playfulness and curiosity. And then they get angry at me because of their faults, problems, failures, or whatever. They don't realize they were rejected in one second because they showed me the wrong spirits. I never had any talent for lifting a woman's spirits. They hate me all the more when I even try. I came to the conclusion that everybody got it backwards. I liked girls like Ellie May on The Beverly Hillbillies, or Jeannie on I Dream of Jeannie, or Charlene or Darlene on the Andy Griffith Show. Girls who came on strong, wanting fun, certain they wanted marriage, and determined to overcome any obstacle. I wouldn't find that when I was chasing them and they were running away and calling for help to shut down my attention. In any case, I'm old now and there is no hope in this life. It's a bummer.

He doesn't want a woman who isn't madly devoted to him, who needs to be constantly entertained and mothered by him, because she is moody and secretive about her feelings and motives. The current relationship role models are creepy all around and they wouldn't work in a marriage. Women pretending they don't need men and pretending all sorts of things, and men trying to get their flighty attention.

I agree with all the moral standards but it seems that the modern church doesn’t really care if a single person ever gets married anymore, if you never find a spouse all will be well. Long term singleness for some people is very hurtful and that hurt is almost always ignored in the church. This is no way to bring singles into the church or keep them there.

God put it on my heart to be married and have kids. I met a man online and he has been a blessing to me. I’m currently attending his church, opening up more to the church members, learning how God wants me to love him, he’s learning how God wants him to love me, and he’s extremely in tune with his emotions. I smile more than I ever have and I rarely smile. He’s fun, intelligent, a light to the world, and over all a really sweet person. We’ve been celibate for 3 months and 2 weeks. Even before he told me that he wants to stay celibate I wrote him a letter stating that I am worth the wait, he is worth the wait, and his church is important to him and so are the members. Idk where any of this was coming from (God I suppose) but we’ve been celibate for 3 months and 2 weeks. That’s a long time for me sense I’ve always lived the worldly way. God also took me out of a toxic work culture. I went into work a couple days ago and my female co worker said to me, “you hurt your back because of all the positions you and your boyfriend have been in.” My reaction… to laugh. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I left work 4 min later but tried to go back the next day, reported her but it was too late after that I knew I couldn’t go back. My body is Gods temple just like my boyfriends body is Gods temple so by walking away I may have lost a lot (no job right now) but it tells God that I live for him. Remember your identity is in Christ not people, places, or things. I’m hoping that one day me and my boyfriend will be able to stand on stage like this guy to share our testimony in front of everyone but God is still working on us. Also the Devil tried to attack us before all of this happened but the Devil is weak but God is strong. We walk with God every day and will continue to do so if He does allow us to get married.

I've been sexually active with my gf. I've been feeling guilty (and rightfully so). I came across this message and watched it with her. This is someone I'm pursuing marriage with but now I'm scared that it's only going to end in divorce because we didnt wait. I feel like I've ruined any chance of having a lifelong marriage with her at this point and it sucks because shes what ive been praying and looking for in a wife. You think that if we stop and wait until we are married, can we still have that beautiful husband and wife connection and have a successful marriage? Or is too late...? I dont want to be another divorce statistic... Just like this man spoke about the art teacher who would make his mistakes beautiful, I know God can do the same. I'd like it to be like a marriage that started off with 2 virgins even though I know I cant get my virginity back or take back what I've done with her... I'm pretty sad and discouraged..

I realized that many of the ppl who make babies outside of marriage dont have the financial ressources to a wedding. When talking about wedding its a lot of money to be gathered for a proper and official wedding. Some people can't afford that and they dont wanna wait! others find it too demanding or too long of a process to go through so they lay down each other and make babies or even for the fun. Does that mean that all kids born outta wedlocks won't benefits of God's grace since God wasn't part of the ungodly covenant

I confess! I have been sexually immoral for a few years. I have struggled with porn addiction and sexual activity for awhile now and the guilt is destroying me... Listen I am a Christian and it is everyones right to question scripture because it has been tainted by man, those whom translated may have made errors, several verses of the bible were individually chosen by man. (The Vatican removed several books from the bible, research it.) Be educated and don't follow blindly, questioning your faith! This makes you a better and stronger Christian.

Emm ok your story is touching but being in a committed relationship that includes sex (without overdoing it or being vulgar) is not immoral... And btw you can be sexually immoral even in a marriage... Having anal sex, doing vulgar things like cursing, bdsm etc... Marriage doesn't immediately make everything acceptable and holy... Immoral acts will never be holy even between two married people and on the other hand, not beimg married doesn't make everything immoral. Use your brains please.

Is sad but the way we grew up society regardless of what our parents have taught us couples live together for a while to see if they are compatible before they get married I think that the reason is what you said not loving God enough.
