Thanks for watching😀 The process in the video is the only one I used. So I am unable to answer questions regarding alternative products or processes. In the video, I mentioned wiping the “cutting surface” with a damp cloth to clean it…that is my method for cleaning it. I only attached the clear chopping mat to the area on which I would place cheese/crackers or veggies. I did not add a sealer or protective cover to the top handle(because I won’t be placing food there, I won’t be putting it in the dishwasher and I won’t be submerging it in water). But if that is what you need or want to do with yours, please use whatever product you feel will work. Thanks for watching😀

I often look for the perfect serving trays and dont find what i want. I would never have thought of making them!!!! I recently found larger cutting boards with handles on both sides. I bet if I just tack the cutting mat and decoarated paper down a little at the corners, I could change the design for each holiday. 😊 FUN!!

Question??? I am wondering if you considered covering the entire board with the cutting mat. The decoration on the handle end could get destroyed if it ended up getting wet. I love this idea. I think it is “makeable” with many flat surfaces. Your creative mind is a blessing to the rest of us. Thanks, once again.

Catch my jaw-- it's dropping! Sherry, I just don't know how you come up with your unusual and creative crafts. They are so wide-ranging and each more ingenious than the last. Since I do Thanksgiving and my sister does Christmas, I had better get moving if I want to have a couple ready for the big day. I might make some for Christmas anyway, only to use for giving cookies and fudge, instead of using paper plates! I think I'll add a note to the back giving care instructions ("do not immerse- just wipe of with a damp cloth"). Thanks for an innovative idea, Sherry!

I did have some concerns about longevity but after I thought about it I realized you have so little $ invested in the piece that longevity isn't really an issue, especially if you are just using it as more of a serving tray. Thank you for the tutorial!

✍Hello Sherry...Thank You for such a cute idea that I'm definitely going to try "try" to make. I love making crafts but I've had some serious health issues and also I don't drive anymore and its hard trying to go to different stores that sell the products you need to make these crafts. This idea would be great as a hostess gift when being invited for dinner. You could put a box of crackers and a container of a spread etc enclose it in cellophane and tie it closed with a ribbon.
