Soldiers deserve respect but not the Pak army of 1971. They committed genocide. Actually, PAF had bested IAF in the 1965. Hence, IAF ability to lick wounds, learn it's lessons and restrategize must also be appreciated. Also, let's not forget the vessels - American F-104 Starfighters vs Soviet built MiG-21FLs.

It is very easy to brag about yourself when your opponent has too little to fight back. Real valour is when the enemy is big enough but you have some thing to fight back in 65 Pakistan Pakistan obliterated IAF although IAF was much bigger and have if not better then equally capable aircraft.

Early on in the 1971 war, PAF had mounted a day time raid on the Baroda refinery, 9:30 AM or so in the first week of December. I watched the dog fight between PAF and IAF with couple of shrapnels (possibly from the ground fire).

This person and air marshal are totally giving wrong aircraft, figures. India had 45 squadrons of aircraft. Now just multiply it by 16. Pakistan had nearly 150 sabers, 60 mig 19, 24 mirages, 12 starfighter, and twenty odd B 57. Now add to it indian AeWACS. Not to mention indian navy aircraft carrier. The qualitative and quantitative gap was so big. But at the end i always expect indians to kue blatantly.

Very fine description Mr Gupta. Lot of respect for your intellect. As I remember our then air chief Air Marshal Rahim made a statement just after 1971 war. I will try to be precise and use the same words as read in the paper “ this time Indian airforce sprinkled our bases with nails and spikes which made them unserviceable for sometime as cleaning was difficult process moreover one aircraft kept flying North- South within Indian territory giving instructions to their attacking air crafts “ Being old I may have faltered in replication of words. In Urdu we use a phrase “ uzr e gunah badtar az gunah”

I don't know if you are a Pakistani are not, but even if you are you cannot differentiate between the reality and propaganda. And I don't think it has anything to do with age. Frankly speaking even most Pakistanis do not even understand the gravity of the situation for pak armed forces. Fighting a second war in six years where not only our principal ally and arm supplier had back stabbed us but stopped all military supplies to us. Although fully aware of how USSR is arming India, USA decided to keep us in such a state where we should not be able to fight back
@snd98265 сағат бұрын
Frankly I think you couldn't even grasp the meaning of aircraft flying in indian air space. It was an AWACS, just imagine the technology gap between two forces. I had read accounts of USSR pilots who admitted they were carrying out sorties inside Pakistan indeed there were also Bengali pilots from PAF. Add to this severe shortage of ammunition and ordnance. List is very long I just suggest don't get blinded by the propaganda of persons like Shukla who lies through his teeth to justify anything his country does.

Bro be updated IAF have Rafeal which carries meteor BVRAAM missile of range 180-200 kms dominates PAF Pl15E with range of 145km equipped by J10C even the original Pl 15 range is slightly less than meteor india have Astra mk1 which dominates PAF Aim 120C5 Astra mk1 range 110km which is inducted after post balakot strikes and Aim 120C5 of PAF range is 105km. 2 days ago India conducted successfull test of Astra mk3 which is ducted Ramjet engine ( Desi meteor)of range 350 kms and will be in the service in 3-4 years and dominate Paf plaaf in BVRAAM capabilities also IAF data centric warfare improved , Uttam AESA radar also in testing phase and will be available for 3rd squadron of Tejas mk1a. IAF is now suffering from squadron depletion but will be recovered soon after 2025 cause Tejas mk1a will be in production it's not all about aircraft it's also about Air defence systems like S400 and akash short range Air defence system will make india western and eastern front safe from enemy misadventure .also Chinese plaaf Have only 1400 fighter aircraft in which 1000 are available and they have deployed it in their eastern front along with Taiwan Japan South Korea China can only use 50 percent of its fighter fleet against India in any case of war it means it will be 500-600 aircraft let's talk about some good fighter aircraft of Chinese plaa .f China have 250 J16 another 50 J16D dedicated EW aircraft which can be potential threat against India but Rafeal can dominate it easily even Su-30Mki will if it is upgraded with AESA radar and Astra mk3 but now our su-30mki are less capable than J16 in BVR combat but now su30mki can only can dominate J10A ,J-10B J10S which are only base line J10 can't fire Pl15 and Doesn't have AESA radar Even our mig 29 can be comparable with J10A,B,S variants and J11A and J11B too China have only J10C 4.5 generation J16D EW best flankers in the world and J20 5th generation if you add J10C J20 and J16D it will be 500-600 J10C numbers (230) J20(300) J16 (300) including dedicated EW but china will not use it 100 percent force against India remember it will only use 50 percent of its fleet approximately 500-600 fighter aircraft while india can use atleast 70 percent of it fighter fleet approximately 300+ and Air defence Will play great role in stopping Chinese plaaf S400 Akash Ng ..

@@Abhinavjha568 in what kind of world indians are living. Meteor range is just 145 km whereas pl15 is 170 km and 15E is 150km. IAF will not be able to stand in front of PAF and the moment IAF went against PLAAF even IAF knows they will be oblivion.
