Jayant is such a fantastic professional & his public sessions on the budget, besides his public defence of govt policies was balanced, strong, pointed & simply superb, better than even Nirmala who tends to fly off the handle sometimes. Sudhanshu or Shehzad may be much acclaimed spokesmen, but are more of bol-bacchans, with a lot of bluff & bluster. . Add to that Jayant's ivy league education, sterling professional career, One is not sure why MoSha sdid not support him, certainly not coz his foolish egoistic father's utterings. That way, Nirmala's communist hubby talks greater shit and is an absolute wretch. Even as a strong BJP/Modi supporter this was a WRONG DECISION to drop Jayant. Not sure of the dynamics of Hazaribagh, but BJP will deserve to loose the seat for this huge error in judgement.

Sinha is the worst politician. His son benefits greatly from Modi's govts aggressive Green energy policy. Yashwant Sinha is a selfish and opportunistic personality. He changed the sides, depending on who gave him ministerial berth, Chandershekar to Vajpayee. No love for Vajpayee or BJP. What has he contributed in public life? Coming to comparison with Vajpayee, he is right. Modi is not the same as Vajpayee or Nehru because today, India doesn't need either of them. Today, India's needs are different in terms of leadership, and PM Modi fits very well in that role. It's the people of India who prefer and decide who should be the leader, and not people like Yashwant. Old school person - living the patriarchal, dynastic mindset and should rarher reboot his mind to get closer to ground reality. Print is wasting time and losing credibility with such interviews.

seems interview with another of yesteryear bureaucrat and politician whose so called glory days are over and so called power through the executive and legislature has already peaked and looks depressed in some sense, the same questions associated with the political journey, the constituency being identified and one upmanship over the years, the curious case of sons career and family saga, the ambition reeking of bias and support to opposition based on prejudices, the after effects of demonitization and other policies, the communal remarks of publicity minister and EC behavior and agencies actions etc but missed on the aspects of support to lynch mobs by son, the stand on the corruption by home state CM and mining misdemeanors, the stand on various legislations and many others get ignored as usual!!

Yeshwant Sinha was one of India's worst ever Ministers. He first got a bad situation but his personal reputation ( especially on matters related to corruption) was so bad that international agencies insisted on mortgaging gold to get piddly amounts. Later as Vajpayee's Finance Minister, he inherited a galloping economy which he ran to ground. His probity was called into question because of favours done to his family. Later as Foreign Minister, he was infamous for grovelling before Musharaff. With such a pathetic record, I wonder why Print gives him so much publicity.
