I think Daniel Radcliffe is mostly right. But online dating has clearly been advantageous for women only (and maybe 5% of men). As a regular guy, online dating is quite depressing

It's far more than 5% of men who have an easy time on dating apps. I was divorced, a 6/7 in attractiveness, a 24 BMI, 6'3", and 80th percentile in income at the age of 30, making me perhaps at the lower end of the top 25%. Dating online was insanely easy in the top 25%. Everyone I dated, including the one I married, I would have considered out of my league without the help of the apps. I agree a man in the bottom 50% probably has a hopeless situation in the world of online dating, but far more than 5% have it quite easy on these apps.

Yes, but Matthew mostly coaches women and sees things from their perspective too. And I think that's important to understand in dating. Both genders are needed for a positive outcomes. Just because women hold all the power in modern dating, doesn't mean they can't be unhappy too. Sure, I think most will agree that the situation for average guys is worse. And I can understand the frustration that comes from that. But if you want to fix the problem, you can't just tell women to "make better choices". You need to show/tell them how. And that's what Matthew is doing.

It’s not you bro, it’s the apps algorithm.a decent amount of guys are quality. For women there’s always an ambiguity about a guys worth that only certainty like height or income or socialability can make them like your profile pic. These apps only incentivize looking a perfect way and not being real. You swipe right on all women because that’s what’s most important to a guy. Companies at MTCH look at these human dynamics and exploit them like hell. Any sane man would swipe right on a pretty woman, and any sane woman would doubt the value of a man. The problem is that good answers to whether two people connect beyond the superficial datapoints is to put them in a room for more than 5 minutes without any of them having to flee during a moment of discomfort. Imagine if the date stopped after the first awkward silent, then we would have a miserable society right?

Scott is super online and works with a narcissistic women who has poisoned him. Women speak is the way online and newspapers etc talk these days. In real life people are still pretty normal. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with women or men in particular just that our online focus distorts reality.

There is too much here. If you are older and and you are single, my advice is stop dating. Live your life with complete freedom. If you listen to Mr. Hussey you will twist yourself into a pretzel. We have either dated or married and it has not worked out. Stop trying and just live. Don't date you will wind up kicking your arse again.
