I just noticed the pyramids in the background in some of the 3960 AD scenes. So I presume Scott and Jean are in the future location which was once known as Egypt. Rogue, Magneto and the others were in the past Egypt. I have no idea what that could mean.

He's basically a genius, he can create whatever he can imagine (mechanically). He's Native American & also knows some magic. He can open portals & combat demons.
