Hi y'all I' m a 55 yr. Old batchlor , I was 1 of 5 in our family and we were big eaters. Àlmost every Friday for supper my mom would fry 2 countem 2 chickens and fry up at least 5 lbs. Of frozen French fries, and it was about all gone after supper, hardly any leftovers. I love your channel , keep up the great videos. 😀😀😀😋😋

Mom's closet in her dining room is to store table linens, placemats, and her extra leaves for the table. She also has 1 shelf dedicated to candles. Love the tours!

This was SO helpful! I have the same refrigerator and today while cleaning it out I was trying to figure out how I could organize it. I am a empty Nestor and my husband works out of town during the week. I have the grands here because I babysit. I like to use the lower cabinet for thier juices etc. But I would like to prepare thier berries and grapes so they can just grab and go and I'm not stuck washing each time. I've been searching KZbin today for idea for MY fridge and your video just popped up and it's the same fridge. Thank goodness! 😍

Binging your old videos during quarantine and you just blew my mind! My family is small - just me and my partner - but I was raised in a family of five and so I cook like my mom! We always have tons of leftovers - and I store them separately. Inevitably, some side dish gets lost in the back of the fridge or no one wants to get out the big casserole dish and scoop out one portion. The idea of putting leftovers in meal prep containers so you can pull out one complete meal for one person is *awesome*! Frankly I’m a little embarrassed I never thought of it before.

3 years ago my husband won $10,000 off the radio here in BC Canada, you had ten places to choose from and we picked Rona ( Canadian Lowe’s) and we used the money for some up grades , we redid the main bathroom floor and the main floor we redid all the floors except the bedrooms which we left carpet . We replaced our dishwasher and fridge , I have a ton of cabinets and our fridge only had a area in the built in pantry , i got one with the freezer in the bottom and the actual fridge area is not as large as I would like but we make do . We did fixtures in kitchen,bathroom and dinning room , ride em lawn mower , paint and little olds n ends .

I love how organized you have everything in the acrylic bins! We use them to separate my husbands and daughters insulin in a mini fridge. I find it interesting about the closet in your dining room, growing up we had TWO closets in our dining room, we used one for coats and bags, and the other as a back up pantry and to store the mop, broom and vacuum.

I have lived in New York state my entire life and have only seen closets in dining rooms twice that I remember. Once was a den that was converted into a dining room (and happened to be the room you would enter into when going inside the house from the front). The other was a really old house that had once had a small butler's pantry connecting the dining room and kitchen that had been closed off. Your videos always leave me hungry and wanting to organize.

Organization goals, for sure! I would love to see how you organize those spaces for holidays, if you change it up. The toughest part of Thanksgiving for my family is finding space in the fridge before cooking, and after (with leftovers). Seriously, it makes cooking seem like the easy part.

I see people mentioned it must be the coat closet (odd place but to each their own). When I retired I knew I had to start organizing the fridge, freezer and large pantry. That is when I really started making most meals from scratch and needed more ingredients and space. I just went through everything I had (hoarder of Tupperware, etc.) and found many items to use in the fridge especially. I rarely make meatloaf or use loaf pans so I stand shredded cheese packets up like little soldiers so I they don't flop around and I can quickly see if I need more. I do shred my own. So many items came in very handy (baskets, etc.). Great video and hope you have a great week.

Shelby you made a great point about storing the leftovers that way I find that for us and we’re just a family of three I noticed the exact same thing however I’m going to try putting it altogether as meals in the fridge and I think that will make a difference as well

I freeze everything before it goes to waste. Some I freeze as soon as I buy them like mozarela, mix cheese, garlic, bacon, ham, etc. I just put them in the refrigerator the night before using them and guala, the taste its the same. I freeze also all fruits before they go to waste and use them for my smoothies, including spinach before it goes to waste. Yeah, the spinach goes like melty, but it taste the same. And also I freeze celery and it taste great. Love your videos dear. A big hug.

What a great idea to group all of the items you plan to use for one meal. As organized as you are, you might not ever do it but if this were me it would also give me the chance to make sure I have all the ingredients I need for one meal and give me time to run to the store if I am missing an item. Also, I am beyond impressed by how well stocked and how organized your pantry is.

I never thought I could use one because it's just me, but I have fourteen nieces and nine nephews so I can use one, it will be delivered tomorrow and I cant wait, I all so got a new fridge and I love those refrigerated boxes so I'm off to Amazon.com to find some. Love seeing all of your fabulous organization!! You are SUCH an inspiration!!! I have two tips to share: 1. I bought some sturdy plastic placemats from Ikea several years ago and I use them to line my fridge shelves. It’s SO easy to keep fridge clean - just take out placemats once a week and give them a quick wash. 2. I keep a ziplock bag in the freezer for leftovers - bits of meat, veggies, chopped spices, an extra bit of fresh greens...whatever...and when the bag is full I put it all in a pot with a couple boxes of chicken broth and voila...I have what I call Recycle Soup! I hate wasting food and let me tell you - these are always the tastiest soups!!!

I want to drop by Shelby!! Yummy snacks! I too use wall to wall acrylic trays in my fridge for organizing. . . Nothing gets lost in the back when you can pull the tray out. I use metal baskets in my pantry with all non-perishable items grouped for each meal so I can just grab the basket, get the fresh ingredients from the fridge and start cooking. Love it!! The clothes closet is for your jackets, umbrella's, your heavy winter clothes or bulky boot's, your long guns, hat's on the top shelf. That's what my mother always used her clothes closet in the Livingroom for. I will be doing the same in a few month's. Anyway I love your video's keep them coming. Our cupboard in the dining room was to put our winter coats in plus guest coats. On the floor in there we had a trunk with the holiday “special” dishes and silverware. Also had a box of dollies, tablecloths and candle holders.

Shelby you can make your own buttermilk by adding 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice to a cup of milk. Leave out at room temp for 30 mins to curdle. Then refrigerate it keeps for up to 3 days.

Absolutely love this Thank you for sharing. I am just now trying to organize with containers in frig. Switching out boxes to out stuff in jars etc. I do love the idea of beverage frig. I am going to redo my laundry room hopefully within 2 years and making the old one a big walk in pantry. They made the shelves and no counter space . Grew up in the south on the East Coast and yes Dining room closets are a normal thing to see. Dining room linens, server ware, entertaining supplies table extenders. Etc.

I never prepped my veggies when I got home. I do now and they last for a long time. I do a monthly grocery haul and a couple of filler trips. My next trip is the 2nd week of November. Sam's and then HEB grocery trips.
