the word that your looking for is Polyphonic that coupled with her contralto range is awesome but she also uses BiNural sounds while singing the binual sounds are what people who meditate regularly havea instruments like a bowl or drum shape and it makes different sounds for different things anyways she can make those sounds while she sings so there you go now you know about her special one of a kind voice you will never hear anyone sound like her.

It sometimes sounds like she has multiple tones, or voices coming out of her mouth! This is a natural ability that Diana has always had. Anyhow, this was *15yo* Diana singing in an amazing Russian project "You're Super" for abandoned/disadvantaged children because, as you know, Diana spent some years in an orphanage when she was 3yo.This was an early example of how she can completely transform a well known song and make it her own song! Diana once said in a TV interview "In principle, if you don't sing with your soul, you probably don't sing". THIS is singing with your soul - for sure! Actually, Diana didn't properly understand what the song lyrics meant, but she seems to have an ability to be able to interpret any lyrics just as the writer meant them to be! High whistle notes are impressive but personally I prefer lower register because it fills the empty space that high whistle notes can tend to leave. She has a extremely rich, unique, amazing lower register. She's able to lower her tongue down her laryngth to give this rich sound. I don't know if you noticed that her mouth is wide open to give air to her voice that's why she sounds airy.

Great reaction Debbie! Deniere Danse and Human are great songs from roughly the same time period (her age 14 to 16). Her recent songs are more mainstream but definitely show how she has grown as a phenomenal artist. Can't wait to hear her as her voice matures.

Not match, but equal. The Chris Isaak version has better guitar and backing vocals from his band, after all, he did write it. However, Diana's solo voice is both unique and superior. I have been listening to the Chris Isaak version for over 30 years and Diana's for 5 years, I love them both.
