Great idea with the combining the Irish chain blocks & same size butterfly blocks. Should be beautiful!

Please do this again next year! It is keeping me honest as I follow along and I have finished 10 complete projects! Novembers is almost done and December project. Is under way

I am so glad that you were doing it again next year. Since the first video I saw you doing this it has encouraged me to finish my UFOs.

I made the bùtterfly block into a quilt in 1992. Cream background w various scraps for butterflies. When looking for bavkground, found that my color favorites lesned towatds cream. Never would have known that without making this quilt. My daughter found that white went w her scraps. Hers stood out as bright & mine looked more vontage. Who knew?

Love the butterfly Irish chain combo. Looks like it is going to be a great quilt. Can't wait for next year.

I am so glad you are going to do this again next year..... I haven't been as productive as you but I have finished some ufos and have more for next year !

Thank you for making me feel normal and for giving me ideas on what to do with my UFO’s and one rescued quilt top only with lots of Rips or frayed blocks and a rescued quilt top. One I’ve had for 7 years and I didn’t know what to do. I feel like I could at least attempt so thank you. I’ll be working along with you.

I've been thinking about putting together a list of projects as well! It's awesome that you have only 3 more squares to complete out of the 100!

I have a drawer system in my sewing room. I put projects in there and work from top to bottom. I also start fresh every year. Sometimes I make great progress and finish things up. Sometimes not so much, life gets in the way.

I admire your goals, you are inspiring! Life happens and we don’t always get what we want done - that’s why they are called goals:) Thanks for this and all of your series, it is so inspiring! I am already planning for 2025.
@amybiblewski6038Ай бұрын
You made some good progress on your UFOs even if you didn't get them all finished. 2025 is a new year. This was a good challenge for me. I organized my UFO's and finished 8 of the 12 in addition to 20 other quilt finishes. I have 3 more to finish by the end of the year & my December UFO was a lap quilt - the top was already complete so I finished that one in May - haha. I have already started going through my projects to get ready for next year's challenge. Thanks for helping keep me on track and all the encouragement. Happy Quilting.

I followed along with you this year. I found 12 small projects. I managed to finish most of them. The running list of completions in my journal was very satisfying. I will be doing it again next year. 🎉
@jennifergoodman7182Ай бұрын
I found this at the beginning of the year and have gotten a project almost every month completely done. Still have several more and know I won’t get as many done as I did this year because they are barely started. Looking forward to getting started again in the future

I love the 12 month project boxes, I did this method of getting projects done that I wanted to do including using up my stash, wow I got so much done so I’ll certainly give it a go again next year. Thankyou it was my inspiration!

I finished some this year, ignored some 😂 and made decent progress on some. I have made my list for next year. Let’s go!
@kathleenmayhorne3183Ай бұрын
Epp edges are usually appliqued onto flat borders to end up straight, then the excess fabric is cut away from under the back, leaving 1/4" allowances. Are you going to frame your small blocks to define them all and get them a bit bigger to go together easier? Have fun.
@carolynmills513Ай бұрын
I'll be thinking about my quilt projects. I dont have a lot of WIPs, so if i have to make a full quilt, i might make it a 2 month project depending on size. I've really enjoyed this series.

I'm planning to join you on this journey next year and have 12 projects picked out! Plus a long term project that I started in 2003 that is pretty involved with appliqué and has been intimidating me which is why it was buried in a bin where I couldn't hear it calling out to me.

I look forward to seeing these. I don't really have unfinished (sewing) projects --- I have unfinished cloth. I have a stash of 1 yard cloth pieces with 2 pieces coordinating. Trying what to make blockwise with just 2 colors. These are for donation lap blankets.

I wanted to let you know that our quilt guild has taken on a project of the month challenge, called, "Get 'Er Done Project of the Month," based on yours! I have been doing your POM for 2024 and have been so excited about getting UFOs finished that I told someone about it at the guild and they said, Let's do one for the guild! We aren't doing the whole year, but started with the first project (#6, picked in October and due finished at the November meeting) and 13 members displayed their finished projects! We're hoping for more participants in the next cycle. Thanks for offering this challenge to us. I'm really looking forward to 2025 to get more projects finished!

Great idea of selecting UFO s & selecting one per month to work towards completion. I'm thinking strongly about doing something similar. The hitch in my progress, is that something comes up that waylays that progress. Haven't figured out the solution to that hazard😮!

I fell by the wayside with my unfinished projects halfway through the year but I have kept watching! I have completed all this year's new projects and not added any to my unfinished pile so next year I aim to finish this year's Project of the Month list! Thanks for these videos. They remind me to get my UFOs done and I love to see what you have done with your projects. Look forward to this year's recap.
