Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice is an upcoming action-adventure video game developed and published by the British developer Ninja Theory. Scheduled for release on Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4. The story is based on Celtic mythology and Norse mythology. I just finished it on xbox series S and I was blown away. This is a fantastic experience and would recommend it to everyone. The puzzles are annoying at the start but once you figure it out they are quite fun and the voices actually guide you through and help you.

Everyone who suffers from depression, anxiety, panic attacks, etc, knows this darkness very well. Everything in this game is so well made. Every puzzle is like puzzling out your own darkness - you look at your problems from every angle, and you'll see the picture, and maybe you can move forward. Every time those inner demons spawn out of nowhere, is like an anxiety attack that comes out of nowhere and punch you in the gut. The voices you hear, is the darkness waging war on your mind, making you second-guess your own existence and worth. It feels every annoyance in the game, is deliberate, to try to give people a sense of how it feels to live with these mental disorders. Of course most people who never suffered, won't get it, and it's just a creepy and gloomy game, but that's what life is like for us who spend our whole life in that creepy gloom.

Yeah thats a great example, lets take Call of Duty or battlefield, same framework, same engine, same animations, same weapon sounds same player models same everything. Bethesda and the Fallout games, same framework, same engine, same animations, same sounds same customisation settings. The list goes on and on and on, the point i was making isnt that these companies are better than other bigger companies or that they make better games with less effort, the point i was making is look at the quality of game you get that was scratch made by a tiny game studio that cares more about the players and the final product than they do about their corporate bottom line, another amazing example of a tiny game studio making an amazing game is the Witcher team.

Difficult to say, comes and goes, sometimes is every single day, sometimes there is nothing for a long time, but always comeback, is always there, watching me, I can feel it. Whispering for me are not something I can really understand most of the time, for me sounds like an ancient language, but when are short sentences they talk to me in my language (German), like names, age, what do you want? why are you here? things they are asking me before I do asking them. I did some research. each time you die, the black stuff on her hands will reach further up her arm. If it reaches her head, you'll have to start the game all over again (itll delete the save file). I purchased this game on steam last night. The story has a Dante's Inferno feel to it. I love story driven games and this in particular from the trailer and the few reviews on steam compelled me to submerge myself into her story. Though it has the feel of an already told story, it also has a nice couple of twists to make it unique in its own right. The voices give a mixed emotion. It's almost as if you are the newest addition to help her and that the others only bring her down or torment her. I've only just began though. I'm hoping to have an amazing experience with this game!

This game is really enjoyable when you have really good headphones on like me and the whispers can go left and right in your ear, and can also determine how far away a whisper can be, like example there can be one whisper really far away, then right after that a whisper can feel like it RIGHT in your ear.

its binaural audio, they literally might use a fake head with mics in the positions of the ears and whisper into it.. similar to wht ASMR uses.

I still think it's funny that when I first heard about this game, I was playing World of Warcraft and doing the Helheim quest chain (which is also based on the Norse hell). Lots of Norse influence in Stormheim in Legion, but nothing even remotely as scary as this.

The making of this game is fascinating to watch. Senua is a schizophrenic, hence the voices. The designers interviewed schizophrenics understand how they perceive the world when not on medication. Ended up with an amazing game.

Woah, this game is spookily great. You are just immersed into this world with voices as some sort of companions and sometimes helpful guide. The combat a surprisingly good, well I shouldnt say suprising because everything is just grandeur in this game. I love the video.
