Shadow of the Colossus is an action-adventure video game developed by Bluepoint Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. It is a remake of the original PlayStation 2 game using ultra-high definition art assets. The remake is led by Bluepoint, who developed the earlier PlayStation 3 remaster, with assistance from SIE Japan Studio. The developers remade all the game's assets from the ground up, but the game retains the same gameplay from the original title aside from the introduction of a new control scheme.
The game's storyline focuses on a young man named Wander who enters a forbidden land. Wander must travel across a vast expanse on horseback and defeat sixteen massive beings, known simply as colossi, in order to restore the life of a girl named Mono. The game is unusual within the action-adventure genre in that there are no towns or dungeons to explore, no characters with whom to interact, and no enemies to defeat other than the colossi. Shadow of the Colossus has been described as a puzzle game, as each colossus' weakness must be identified and exploited before it can be defeated.

I remember playing this on my ps2 sadly it broke anyways one day I was watching KZbin when I got a advertisement shadow of the colossus remake...coming soon... I didn't even have a ps4...went to the nearest gamestop bought a ps4 pro a controller and waited till it came out...i busted my wallet but worth it... first and last game I ever bought on the ps4 I was more of a Nintendo guy so I never really played playstation exept the ps2 still worth every cent I love this game but really it's the only game on my ps4 lol I'm so cheap and lazy should get more games on it

Gamer dog Blaikie debatable, a remake would vastly be different, different scenes, possible characters. This probably follows the directors vision a lot more, as opposed to the limited capabilities of the PS2. Its more remaster with a bit more lore added in (since we all wondered what happened to Mono in the ps2 version, and here Wanderer gives us a bit of insight on the events).

Quadratus (second colossus) is same height as Gius (third colossus) and is bigger than Gius in every other way. they both stand at 29m tall. why does everyone think that Gius is so big he is in the smaller half of all the colossi. he is the 8th smallest and the 9th biggest out of them all. so much people think that Quadratus is smaller than Gius when Quadratus is actually is the 3rd biggest and the 14th smallest.

2 years late but shut it. The reason people think Gaius is so large is simply due to perspective, and the way people see human like creatures. Sure Quadratus and Gaius are the same height, but humans know how tall other humans should be, and seeing a human like figure as large as Gaius really messes with your brain, precieveing him as larger.
