Therabody recently released their first facial health device, the TheraFace Pro. I honestly had never even heard the term facial health before their marketing team introduced me to the terminology. Are they the first to call a facial tool a facial health device?
Regardless, I was intrigued and this thing can do a lot of stuff. From percussion therapy, to microcurrent, to red light therapy to simply helping clean your face. I'm by no means a skincare routine guy but this tool could definitely help make me one. I was most impressed with the cold ring, which I had to purchase separately but have already used several times in the two days that I've owned it.
l have a feeling this will be the first device in a string of many different facial tools we will see from Therabody. I did find it interesting they called this initial device the Pro device, which leads me to believe they may have other devices coming out in the future with less capabilities. Perhaps a tool for each individual feature the TheraFace Pro is capable of doing.
This tool can quite literally help with facial tension, eye puffiness, acne, acne scars, sun damaged skin, skin rejuvenation, inflamed or puffy face, tmj release, clogged pores, oily skin, facial blood flow and so much more! I'm really impressed if you can't tell! Big skincare and facial care guy from here on out!

The only con I see is it's size, although handy and manageable, I use an LED panel to cover my whole face, hip or whatever body part so that I don't have to keep holding it up or move it around. I can see how people would benefit from a handheld device, and of course my panel doesn't massage, but just different case scenarios. Side note, maybe you could dabble in skin care tech now? 😏

I use the heat attachment with warm compress for frequent tear duct blockages in the winter - its perfect! I can knock out a stye in a day that would normally take week or longer. Love it

@@BestMassageTech OK, I subscribed :-) I'm a retired massage therapist (over 30 years) and loved all the massage toys. I am shocked at the improvements to technology. I used to supplement with a "Squirrel" massage unit... it just vibrated, nothing else.. I now spent lots of $ on a Theragun Pro Plus, the Smart Goggles and the Theraface Pro. Just got the Theraface yesterday...tried it more this morning. WOW! I think I'm going to love every one of these. The ability to have TheraMind with the Goggles is incredible! After two times, the Theraface helped my face feel more relaxed than in years. What a strange sensation. I'm experiencing less foot pain after only a few days with the Theragun. I have to tell you... your well-done, thorough reviews and instructions helped me to "spend the money" :-) Thank again... :-)

I have Therabody Elite for 18 months and it has been fantastic. I got the Foreo Bear in January and loved it. This came out and as I had been using my Therabody on my face with the supersoft head I got this to treat TMJ, acne , anti aging , heat , cleansing, etc. So far (1 month) I'm very impressed. I am recommending to my patients who Clench their teeth the feedback so far..... they can feel an instant benefit. I would say it should be great for facial tension including neck and TMJ , THE PERCUSSION SHOULD NOT BE USED BY PATIENTS WITH FACIAL NEURALGIA, LOOSE TEETH OR BRIDGES. Otherwise it's a great product and would make a Fantastic Christmas present. By the way I'm a dentist and so many people Clench or grind their teeth at the moment this would be great for them. I use the microcurrent at home and use the Foreo Serum Serum which gives great results.

Very good explanation! I haven’t used mine yet but had a couple questions. When you have the light on you said it gets brighter when you get close to your face and I couldn’t tell if you just had it close or touching and if touching if you are supposed to put any pressure on it. Another one is can you use any on deep frown lines and also deep line above nose between eyes? Thanks so much for your very detailed video!! ❤

Such an interesting device. I would just take the percussive and hot/cold heads in my dream device for like $300. Maybe they come out with a cheaper option in the future.

That is my thought. Considering they are calling this the Pro unit right off the bat leads me to believe there may be "lower level" devices in the future with less capabilities. Either that, or they don't anticipate offering any new features for their facial device anytime soon.

Thanks for the video, it was really informative. Haven't seen a better one on KZbin so far. One question, if you see this... how close can you get the LED lights toward your skin? Can you place it directly against it? I read somewhere recently that however close the LED lights are to your face really affects things (closer the better).

Yes, you can’t place it directly on your skin, it just doesn’t activate the lights until you get close to your face.

I just got my theraface and I love it… I don’t mind Therabody adding one or two more levels for percussion treatment. I use it daily sometimes twice a day . I definitely saw the results immediately.

Great review. Thank you. I own the theragun pro and that product is high quality and super beneficial after a session of pickleball or table tennis. Really want to try the Theraface but I already have a pricey microcurrent device. I wish TB would let us custom build the device by letting us select the heads. For sure then I would purchase.

The blue light beeps every 15 seconds. How many passes should be done in one area to be effective I wonder? It doesn't really say. For example, would I do left cheek, forehead, right cheek, nose, and chin in a pattern for 15 seconds each and then repeat 1, 2, or 3 times or more? The blue light is what I specifically wanted it for. I just don't want to undertreat the area and be disappointed that I didn't get results.

They suggest a maximum of 8 minutes. I usually do around 5 minutes and just keep changing areas every 15 seconds.

Try the supersoft head a cone is way too violent. I bought this for my dental surgery I use it on my clenchers. Not sure how many will buy it but I personally think theragun and this face device are excellent.

Most likely it's a moisturizing gel. You want something that can help glide the electrodes on the skin rather than having just the electocurrent directly on your skin. That would be more painful without the gel.

Gel is the same principal as ultrasound. The gel is neccessary to create a connection between the two diods.

Really good review, quite thorough and good to get another guy's take on it. I'm on the fence about buying though - currently has a fairly deep discount in the UK at the minute and i can get the main kit for just under £220 or 279 dollars. Do you still use this much? Id mostly be looking at using it myself for under eye tiredness and a bit of redness from old acne scarring. The extra attachments that I need for the eyes are almost half price here too.

@@alegl5141 I just use a damp cloth or an alcohol wipe. It's not waterproof to the sense that you could put it under water, but I've had no issue if it gets a little wet.

Just receive my unit, don't know if it's normal but my the cold ring only stays cold for about 1 min and then it feels normal and not cold. The base of the ring also feels hot.

I have the same experience so I am returning it via Amazon and getting a replacement. I’ll let you know if it does the same thing. One thing I notice is that you shouldn’t put the ring for too long as it overheats. I don’t seem to experience this (the base getting hot) btw for the hot one. Weird.

I own this tool, imo it’s an overpriced toy and the uses are limited and the documentation is misleading or lacking. For example they say not to use blue light with the percussive instrument because it might spread acne. But they say you can use the massage with red and infrared light. That makes NO sense, because you would be spreading acne around with all 3, the only difference is that the blue light should be killing the acne. Then they provide 0 scientific documentation on how the LED light actually works, we don’t know how they create the proper wavelengths, the strength of the light, etc. Totally overpriced toy

I have bought the theraface after having used the nuface and a separate led mask (Currentbody) for over a year and I love it for its massage function alone! The massage function is so good and I love how I can combine the LED while I massage my face. I don’t want to influence you to buy this product. I’m not to trying to influence your decision, but I just wanted to offer a different point of view.

@@nightshadehelis9821 my partner gave me the Theraface for Christmas and I am loving it. I am not sure about wrinkle reduction, but my skin actually glows after i use it (i think the merit goes to the microcurrent). I suffer from teeth grinding and jaw pain, and that's the main reason i was looking at it (and yes, it is expensive. Everything is expensive. We just need to chose). I love doing my routine, i find it very relaxing. I don't suffer from acne, i tried the blue light on a couple of two little pimples and they absorbed the next day. It makes sense you shouldn't to use the percussion with the blue light (which is for acne) IF you suffer from acne. Fortunately, we don't all do, that is why the red light (which is not for acne) works with the percussion. This said, i think the price is high because the quality of Therabody products is high. They sell expensive but very cool devices. I gave my partner the Theragun for his birthday nearly three years ago (he's a cyclist and uses It for massages). The best message device ever, many athletes and massage therapists use it. This Is just to say that the Therabody is definitely not a company who sells toys.
