I wrote her off for the tenth time today And practiced all the things I would say But she came over I lost my nerve I took her back and made her dessert Now I know I'm being used That's okay, man, 'cause I like the abuse I know she's playing with me But that's ok cause I've got no self esteem We make plans to go out at night I wait till 2 then I turn out the light This rejection's got me so low If she keeps it up I just might tell her so When she's saying, oh, that she wants only me Then I wonder why she sleeps with my friends When she's saying, oh, that I'm like a disease Then I wonder how much more I can spend Well I guess, I should stick up for myself But I really think it's better this way The more you suffer, the more it shows you really care Right? Yeah! Now I'll relate this a little bit That happens more than I'd like to admit Late at night she knocks on my door She's drunk again and looking to score Now I know I should say no But it's kind of hard when she's ready to go I may be dumb, but I'm not a dweeb I'm just a sucker with no self esteem When she's saying, oh, that she wants only me Then I wonder why she sleeps with my friends When she's saying, oh, that I'm like a disease Then I wonder how much more I can spend Well I guess, I should stick up for myself But I really think it's better this way The more you suffer, the more it shows you really care Right? It is. I did it for one of my vocal lessons and my voice completely fucked out. Never knew it could do that, but I've had a hard time listening to the offspring since. I was so embarrassed, and only me and my vocal coach were in the room. Didn't sound very hard to do, I wish I had seen this performance before I attempted it

This song is VEEEERYYYY easy to play on Bass tbh. Not kidding. For example, any person with enough interest/motivation, and with a healthy/normal capacity to learning New things can start forma zero and start playing this song almost perfectly forma start to finish, in 1 to 3 months. After 1 and a half year of practice (other songs aswell) the same person would need 10 to 15 minutes to learn and to play It almost perfectly.

Why does their la la lalala always sound off key in live performances
@alpur2142 жыл бұрын
It's always hard starting a song a capella like that and being in the perfect key once the instruments kick in. I've played a few songs like that live. Dex was also having vocal problems throughout this entire performance.
@befree1558 Жыл бұрын
The intro was actually not really off key and in my opinion pretty good, but I guess the song is really hard to sing live while playing guitar, the highest notes he sings are mostly off key, to low.

Well, judging by hard he is struggling to sing it a step down I’d say it would sound pretty bad live in the original key.
@JudasPriest822 жыл бұрын
I think there is one show or at least a couple of them that they did perform in the original key
@1993reefblue2 жыл бұрын
I dont understand how he can struggle back when the song was new. He obviously did it in the studio just fine, no auto tune back then.
@luanbejeveld802 жыл бұрын
@@1993reefblue as a singer, I think I can answer to this in a proper way. Sustaining the vocal chords endurance during a long period of time (about 60 min, or at least that’s what I think this show lasts) makes singing continuously quite hard and struggling if the right technique isn’t used. 90’s Punk rock bands, and specially vocalists were all about the energy and the crowd, and viceversa, therefore, they normally couldn’t care less about “low pitching” songs so they could manage to resist a whole set without ruining they’re voices.
@iamobeliskquake2 жыл бұрын
@@1993reefblue Studio recordings aren’t usually done in one take. When singers record their vocal tracks, the best sounding segments are taken and pieced together for the official recording. That’s why choruses often sound identical on studio recordings. It likely took him dozens of takes to finish the studio version.
