Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got to talking about investment and money. I started investing with $150k and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and get more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.

Hi. I’ve been forced to find additional sources of income as I got retrenched. I barely have time to continue trading and watch my investments since I had my second child. @@BrandonIvan-c6e However, if you do not have access to a professional like Clementina Abate Russo, quitting your job to focus on trading may not be the best approach. Just “doing the right thing” is an absurd consideration, this isn’t kindergarten. She should think about her legal obligations and legal protections as well. If she reports it and is fired, can she sue? What is she liable for, if anything? Is it a criminal matter she can report? What order should she do things in for maximum protection? Walking into the boss’s office and accepting ANY culpability for it like Dave recommended is potentially extremely stupid advice.

I think telling her to quit and take a 10$ an hour paycut over this is TERRIBLE advice. And Dave needs to stop interrupting.. she said the 2nd owner is “quiet and comes and goes” meaning the more prominent one who’s stealing is primarily running the show. She also said “everyone knows” before being cut off. This guy is paying off a credit card with the checking of a company he co owns. What if the other owner is aware and ok with it ? This is a small business we are talking about not a large publicly traded company. They can do whatever they want with their money. Large companies buy yachts, private jets, fund trips for the executives and etc. The co owner of a small company paying off a credit card with the business account is not unreasonable… HE co OWNS THE COMPANY… 50% of it is HIS. Furthermore she’s not a liar for minding her business and doing her job, what she knows might not even be the full picture. I think she should keep doing her job and leave when she finds another good job with the same pay or higher. She’s 98k in debt.. she can’t afford a 10 per hour paycut.

I once worked at a Fortune 500 company. The vice president would turn in questionable credit card charges that would get paid by me each month. I reported it to my boss who was the CPA. Neither one of us did anything. The CPA felt the vice president could explain away these questionable charges. He feared losing his job. She has put herself in a terrible situation with all that debt looming over her head. So, get out there and find a new job, quit, report embezzler to silent partner during the 2 weeks notice period, and if he doesn't care or wants to let it continue, report embezzler to the IRS for tax fraud. My boss charged a single mother who really trusted us with services we never performed. I was pretty upset and wasn't sure how to approach the situation. I considered talking to upper management but wasn't sure how useful that would be. I then decided to just take it to the Lord in prayer. I prayed that God would convict him of what he did and rob him of his sleep until he decided to give that woman her money back. The next morning when I arrived at work, I didn't even make it inside the building as my boss met me at the door. He told me very adamantly, "I decided to give that woman her money back." I replied, "I know." He gave me a quissical look and said, "You know? What do you mean you know?" I then told him what I had prayed the night before and how I wanted God to rob him of his sleep for his wickedness until he decided to return that woman her money. Not sure what I was expecting his reaction to be, maybe just kinda shrug it off and go about his day, but that is not the reaction I got. He was absolutely stunned. His jaw practically hit the ground. A sense of wonder came upon him as a realization that something supernatural had just occurred. He seemed at a loss for words, and then replied, "Since we know that God hears your prayers now, can you pray for my daughter that God would help our relationship." I still thought he was a lunkhead but I was glad he changed his mind, so I agreed. I prayed that night before bed that God would help his relationship with his daughter as a sign to him that God hears prayers and that he is watching over all. The next day at work, I was talking to the boss and he was still stunned about what had happened and we were discussing it. While we were talking, his phone rings and he says, " Hold on, I have to answer this." I can hear him answering the person on the other end saying, "Yeah. Yeah. Well I love you too." He then hangs up and turns to me with tears in his eyes and says, " You will never believe who that was." I wasn't thinking too deeply, so I asked, "Who?" He said, "It was my daughter, we haven't talked for months and she just called to tell me that she loves me." Needless to say, but I kind of became like a prophet to him for a while after that. He would offer to take me out to eat after work. Something that was very much out of character for him. All in all, I think it worked out much better than if I had simply told on him to upper management, though I do think that has its place at times.

Context matters. Did the caller ever establish a dollar amount or give an example of the types of personal expenditures? Also, as office manager, the caller is responsible for bringing this to the attention of of both owners. It may be entirely possible that the owner who is doing this thinks it is okay. Owners of small businesses using purchasing personal items and then expensing them through the company is one (of many) ways owners compensate themselves without paying taxes as income. Yes, it is a violation of the tax code. The way I would approach this situation is to bring it up with both owners under the context of "If we get audited, the IRS may disallow these expenses and the company will be liable for back taxes and penalties. To assist with proper tax classification, I have developed a one page checklist that identifies appropriate expense categories."

I have been self employed for 24 years. I have learned that sometimes a business owner is doing things that appear to be wrong, but you do not have the whole picture. He could be including that in his personal taxes. She does not know. She does not give enough info for us to be sure. She does not specify what the expenses are. She should give a full accounting of all expenses, but she should not have an attitude of telling on someone. Only give a complete report. Do not judge. If she thinks it is stealing, she needs to move on, but I suspect she does not know the reality of what is being done. What are the "personal" expenses? She does not say.
