John, you pushed through the awkwardness and spoke truth to the young man who needed to be around for his 4 year old daughter. Thank you.

When John was telling that dad that God would never call him to not be in his daughter’s life, I was thinking, “Speak truth John!” Glad he had the guts to say that to that man. God calls men to be leaders of their homes. How can you say you’re obeying God if you’re not present to lead your family as He commands in His word?

At the 15-20 minute mark: A mortgage at less than 2% is basically still a (small) investment with todays inflation. I wish I was smart enough to refi into a fixed rate a few years ago, I'm now carrying an adjustable that's luckily capped but still sits at 5.35% for the second year in a row, so I'm trying my best to pay it off as quick as possible without setting back my other goals too much. Before it shot up, it was somewhere in the 2.5%-3.0% range and I didn't even think about doing extra payments. Now, compound interest is less of a factor when you have to start investing at a later age, closer to retirement, and I definitely get the sentiment of wanting to be completely debt-free, but man, don't waste money on that
@kortyEdna8252 күн бұрын
Nobody can suddenly become prosperous financially. Although they did the background work, we mostly see the ultimate product. Fear is a harmful factor that prevents us from making the courageous decisions we need to make in order to achieve our goals. You have to deal with things like inflation, the recession, Fed policies, and more. In just a few months, I was able to add $289k to my portfolio.
@Justinmeyer10002 күн бұрын
I think it's not always about fear, Sometimes realistic factors discourage people from reaching their goals in life. For instance, I've tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value
