There is literature in tamil written in 12 th century by poet jayamkondar it s name is Kalingattuparani, a Tamil poem and a war song by Jayamkondar, it describes about celebrating the victory of Kulottunga Chola I over the Kalinga king, Anantavarman Chodaganga in the Chola-Kalinga war.

To give a little bit of context . Rajendra's expedition to Ganga was devastating for Kalinga , at the time ruled by the Somavamshi dynasty . The Somavamshi king Indraratha , was killed and a civil war ensued between the two branches of the royal family . Eventually after two generations chola control weakened and Yayati 'Chandihara' the Somavamshi king broke free of chola control . This dynasty was replaced by the eastern Gangas or Chodagangas , who had marital ties with the Cholas , particularly Kulothunga Chola . And Anantavarman Chodagangadeva , the maternal grandson or nephew , of Kulothunga , expanded his empire from Vengi to southern bengal , - quite literally from Ganga to Godavari .

Chola's travelled through sea route from TN to Odissa who were given heartwarming welcome by the Odissa rulers..... Then their Army went to Himalayas by the roadways....... After this Chera's(Emperor Senguttuvan) too reached Himalayas and fought wars there .... One Chola Pass is still in Sikkim or around this area....... Though Sanskrit inscriptions tell the story of Ganga Warfare with King Mahibalan, the Thamilhh inscriptions don't give that much importance as Chalukya's had really participated in that war........ But there was Chola's support & assistance which was given to his nephew & it's Army......

The contemporary history says the sea route to India was discovered by the Portuguese sailor Vasco de Gamma in 1498. But see how much it is flawed. The Konark sun temple has the famous relief which shows the local sailors offering a Giraffe as a novel gift to the king. Konark sun temple was built from 1238-1250 AD. If there was no sea route how can be a Giraffe brought from Africa to Odisha or at best India. It was the Kalingans who knew the sea route from India to outside world. The history needs to be rewritten.

I have listen so many stories about the naval trading with Easter countries by Odisha Sadhavas. We called it then Sadhavas. In the memories of that, still we celebrate Boita bandhan for for ancestors. Odisha kings have defeated southern king Kanchi King Narsingh Varman. This war is well known as "Kanchi Abhiyan" and King purusottam dev married to her daughter in good relationship. It is also considered that King Purusottam dev was defeated in first war and second war, lord Jagannath and Lord Baldev had gone for war against Kanchi King Narsingh Varmanon behalf of King Purusottam dev and win the war. A Ganesh Idol of Kanchi King which was the kuldevta of Kanchi King had been brought to Jagannath temple which is well known as Kanchi Ganesh or Tantra Ganesh which can still be observed in Puri.

Sir, I have never heard of any Golden Coconut given to any poet by Chola or Pandiya Kings(Thamizh kings) in my life.... It's totally strange and new information as to my knowledge..... As to Thamilhh(Thamizh) inscriptions and the scolars here and to ASI documents, Rajendra Chola never crossed the Chalukya Kingdom.... His nephew(Kundavai's Son) only went till Ganga river or West Bengal....... Please don't go by Sanskrit copper plates..... Please go by Thamilhh copper plates.....
