Fascinating video, very compelling argument for a more directive focus on examples and the internal experience during those moments. Do you think anything is lost relative to less directive approaches, in terms of noticing avoidance behaviours that the client may be unaware of, or how the client relates to a lack of guidance or authority or structure, or anything else in either the realm of transference or the realm of noticing what the client may be unaware of? Or is it really just that good at guiding the clients to become more aware of these things while also having the space to notice anything the client misses if it comes out as transference?
