This song is less about interpersonal relationships and more about community, society, human level. The "bomb" refers to the bomb threat that was going around in 2017 between US and North Korea. When she says "faithful" it's about her having faith in the humans, in the world to change for the better and stop hurting each other. When she talks about "who am i to symphatize when no one gave a damn" she is saying she feels hopeless from people's lack of care for the world and for each other.

Google it. And yes, the song was released in 2017… “ Reporting from Seoul - North Korea’s totalitarian leader, Kim Jong Un, began 2017 by announcing his intention to launch a long-range ballistic missile capable of reaching the United States.” That’s exactly what she’s talking about. Now how about you leave me alone.

a couple years ago this song really helped me through a difficult and low point in my life where I was praying for a change to come. I like how she mentions change in other songs, like the one you already reacted to, Mariners Apartment Complex, when she says: "I am a big-time believer, that people can change...when everyone's talking, you can make a stand". Or on Heroin: "I hope that I come back one day, to tell you that I really changed". And I think she has changed, the evolution of her strength and well-being through her albums is noticeable. And yes, people can change for the best, it's not a linear path, but change is inevitable and it's up to oneself to decide what direction change takes

i just came across your channel recently and i’m so glad to have found you. the emotion, humanity and intelligence you share is so inspiring and we’re all very grateful to see it. i’ve been a lana fan for years, and she truly is my favorite artist out there, and i’m so happy to have found a place where her work is appreciated in full depth. i think i understand her stories quite well, but you’ve shed so much light on her messages within parts of the music that i struggled to interpret in a way i could verbalize. this truly feels like therapy and i catch myself smiling widely while watching your videos, enjoying lana’s music and appreciating the genius and the life behind it. lastly, i can’t help but not recommend sad girl, pretty when you cry or cruel world, they are some of my favorites and i truly think there’s a lot to process in those lyrics. if you’ve already done those i’ll go check it out! i apologize for the long comment lol, if there’s anyone reading it, i wish you an amazing life, and Meredith, keep being inspiring and keep being you :)

the line i have been thinking its just somone elses job to care i always relate it to the same theme tat touches swan song (wick is the last song from honeymoon) theres a line in there " lets leave the world for the ones who change everything) I think that Lana feels like a person disconnected from the culture since she is not militant, she is still a bit nihilistic but I personally have also experienced that belief that one cannot change the world and that your actions are sometimes in vain. However, Lana finds an escape in living her life in the most honest way and feels a change in being able to be a better person, which, after all, is the best way to change the world.

Hello I really like your reaction! For next, I suggest you to do the reaction to the album "Chemtrails Over the Country Club" by Lana Del Rey, especially the songs "White Dress," "Dark But Just A Game," and "Tulsa Jesus Freak" because I believe these songs are particularly important to her. The songs discuss fame and her personal love life experiences. In the album, she opens up about her personal life. When the album was released in 2021, it generated controversy due to the music video for the title track. Although the album is my favorite in her discography and holds a special place in my heart, it is sadly underrated compared to her other albums. Thank you so much; I truly appreciate it.

This song speaks too me in so many ways… I remember some quotes from Dead Poets Society when professor Keating (oh captain, my captain) says something like “no matter what people say, words and ideas can change the world” and then he says “the big play of life keeps going on and you might contribute to a verse… what will your verse be?” and it makes me think when she says “maybe it someone else’s job to care, who am i to wanna try?” but then she talks about how we are powerful beings and how powerful a change can be and it just validates every small thing we do or even stop doing in our lifes to make a change is just so beautiful… My personal view of accepting this idea literally changed for me through the years and caused a great impact on me! When I was starting to deal with my BPD I felt completely unstable, especially emotionally, and it felt like chaos for me to be here and there, up and down all the time and I hated it so much it was exhausting! But them with time I realized that I wasn’t even dealing with it properly cause I wasn’t allowing myself to feel that change, so eventually I just started to accept if I started to feel down and instead of fighting against it or running away… I just felt it, tried to face and understand what was happening to me without that fear of getting stuck there because I knew that I would change again anyway right? I might have a bad day but it’s okay, I’ll just slow down and comfort myself because it won’t last forever! Somehow maybe later today, maybe tomorrow or the day next I’ll be feeling better again and that just gave me a sense of comfort because I didn’t have to run from my problems anymore, I became able to be at ease even on my darkest moments and feel peace at the end

“There’s something in the water, I can taste it turnin’ sour. It’s bitter, I’m coughin’. But now it’s in my blood.” I feel like this part Lana is using water as a metaphor for humanity, as water is the source of life. When the water tastes sour, it’s means it’s contaminated which reflects the corruptions in humanity. Because every human beings needs water to live, we are all affected by the sour water or the corruptions in the world. So does Lana. And we as people who doesn’t want to be influenced are influenced, so we react which makes Lana sings “I’m coughing.” These corruptions becomes another information in our minds, like how as we drink water, it becomes a part of us, or becomes within our body. Nobody wants to admit the violence and death of humanity, but the dark side of humanity exist, and we are affected by it. Love Lana’s way of expressing and reflecting the world. Love your reactions too! ❤️

this song really comforted me in 2020 mainly because of the pandemic, my life turned upside down and i i was living with toxic positivity trying to suppress how i was feeling about myself and what was going on around me, it was going to be one of the best years of my life and it turned out to be the worst, then one day in november when i was in the car alone waiting for my parents to come back from shopping at the supermarket, I was laying down looking at the ceiling and this song played on shuffle mode, I listened carefully to the lyrics and when I started to correlate the song with my life, I started to cry and let it all out, I realized that I would not be the same after that year, that the change in my life was inevitable, it would always come at one time or another...
