Peeps death affects me even to this day. Still think about it every day. He once said that there must be something after death. "You can't kill energy, energy doesn't die" I feel like hes still living in his fans. Atleast to me, hes still alive

Im 26 years old, started listening to lil peep in 2016, back then I was 19-20 years old, and still to this day, Im so glad I found him back then, because he's been with me through my darkest years, helped me so much with his music, I feel like he saved me with his music, I don't listen to him all day, everyday like I used too, but I have 2 paintings in my apartment with lil peep, and Im so thankful for everything he did to the world, specially those who really needed him back then and even today. May his soul forever rest in peace, thank you Peep for all you've done, Love from Sweden.

@waiinm Жыл бұрын
Hello! I'm very pleased to see such a good reaction. I'm here to say that Peep (Gustav) is a unique artist of his era. His work is filled with soul and life, he has always been an honest and sensitive person. A significant part of his life can be traced through his music. He is called the "King of Emo". He loved his mom very much and his mom loved him. The prefix Peep is what his mom called him because in childhood he was like a little bird. He had a very strong relationship with a girl with whom he began to be friends since childhood. For myself, I consider his example of love to be almost true love; I can’t say that about anyone else. He has had an unusual life and his journey as a musician began at the dawn of the SoundCloud era. No matter what happened to him, he remained as he is. This man became famous in a short period of time, although he did only what his soul wanted. He spent a lot of time in reflection and sadness because of those and what surrounded him and how he was treated. Each of his songs is filled with meaning and message even if it seems that this is not in it. Anyway, thanks for the video, looking forward to the next reaction to Peep. I would like to give a recommendation but I’m afraid I won’t guess with the chronology of his work. I think the song "Star Shopping" written in 2015 would be a good place to start.

Please do more Lil Peep. Seeing people discover him makes me so happy as it’s the only thing that really keeps him alive. Feel so sorry for the kid that he died the way he did

i believe that when he said”you were not invited cus you’re nothing like the usual” i think he meant when his grandfather died he was so sad to the point where his friends saw the saddens and they don’t want negative energy so they didn’t invite him to anything
@Ghosty716 Жыл бұрын
The part about not being invited wasn't to do with the funeral, it was it's own statement, like not getting invited to a party or a hangout etc because you're an outcast

"We care where we hurt and hurt where we care." That's an excellent summary statement for this reaction. I've never heard of Lil Peep but the song hits a few nerves for me too. I'd love to sit across from him and ask more about his values and how they were formed. Where there's great pain, there's also an opportunity to create a platform to help others. I hope that's what he is doing with his music. Anyways, great video. If you're looking for reaction content, I'd suggest Dax "Dear Alcohol" "Dear God" or "what it's like to be a man". Appreciate what you do!
@TherapistReactsOfficial Жыл бұрын
Ive had Dax on my list for a while so I am hoping to get round to that very soon. Thanks for the comment.

That’s indeed exactly what he was doing with others “Some days, I’ll be very down and out, but you won’t be able to tell, really, because I don’t express that side of myself on social media. That’s the side of myself that I express through music.” - Lil Peep
@appleexpert999 Жыл бұрын
I can't even call it a reaction. More like an analysis and a very high-quality one. I like the way you approach the analysis and what you say, it’s very fresh on KZbin and shows a different, stronger depth in the music of my favorite artist. I'm also glad that you started with this song. Don't get me wrong, I love all of his songs, but for an unprepared person, it would be a little difficult and unusual to hear about the things that Lil Peep sang about: such as sex, drugs, addictions, and unrequited feelings. Therefore, I dare to recommend my list of songs that are well suited for the first acquaintance with the artist, more emotional and sad, but at the same time alive, just as this artist lives in my heart. So let's get started. 1. "Star Shopping" - one of his first and favorite compositions. There he simply gives himself over to his feelings and doesn’t even sing, but addresses the girl, confessing his feelings, and making promises and hopes. 2. "Crybaby" - is a great song, but be careful with the official video - KZbin likes to give strikes to this particular video for copyright infringement. 3. "Haunt U" - For some reason, many people skip it or make a reaction/analysis to it somewhere at the end of their acquaintance with this artist. But I recommend listening to this song to better understand Lil Peep, the depth of the lyrics and just surrender to your feelings. 4. Let me bleed - a powerful song that brings tears to your eyes. It's about relationships with family and girlfriend, thoughts and attempts to find yourself in this life, working hard and giving your all to hard work and feelings. 5. "The Brightside" - Just a wonderful song with a good official video (don't worry, KZbin doesn't give strikes for it) that helps to better understand his life and the pressures of touring. Something like a mini-diary about several fragments from his life. Thank you for your time, if you have read this far, and once again I express my gratitude for the excellent video. Have a nice day, evening, or night. Stay safe! upd: and a small clarification if you react to "Star Shopping": I recommend the music video called "Lil Peep - Star Shopping (Lyrics) (Music video)" because at the end there is a piece from his live performance + photos of his childhood and youth. All this together gives a very strong emotional response.

You seem to connect lines that aren't connected, each line you see on screen is it's own statement most of the time, disregarding the previous. "You think you can do it, but your chances are improbable" has nothing to do with the girl he was referring to in the previous line, and "You were not invited 'cause you're nothing like the usual" to his grandfather/family. Only lines that are connected are: "Working every day, now you're bleeding through your cuticles Passing through a portal as you're sittin' in your cubicle" "You wanna see your friends, but you're stuck inside a hospital Doctor walks in and he tells you that it's terminal Tumor in your brain and they're sayin' it's inoperable" "Wake up in the morning, now you doing the impossible Find out what's important, now you're feeling philosophical" "You think you can do it, but your chances are improbable Once you feel unstoppable, you run into an obstacle" This is all referring to the part of the song before verse 3, meaning the parts where he interjects to state life is _______. Although I like to connect specifically "You think you can do it, but your chances are improbable" to both "Once you feel unstoppable, you run into an obstacle" and "You think she's adorable, she thinks that you're intolerable". At the end of the day we all interpret music differently, and that's normal. We like to relate. Music is multi-layered and for us to understand in our own way. So there's nothing wrong with you interpreting it the way you did.

coming from a fan of him / some who loves his music and him , i genuinely love this song to death and the messages / lyrics of it are so beautiful 😭 , also all the little drawings shown in the video are actual tattoos he had for example the centipede that was shown at the begging of the video in a tattoo he had on his arm , at the end of the video when it shows / says daddy which was another tatto he had on his chest .

First off, let me say that this comment is unrelated to the current video, but I just wanted to offer a suggestion that, a. I think would make for excellent content, and b. I’d really love to hear your thoughts on. Of course, there’s also point c, which is that it comes from arguably the greatest lyricist alive. So then, the suggestion is for an artist named Aesop Rock, and in particular a 3-song series from his somewhat-recent album The Impossible Kid; these songs detail his mental health journey following the death (to cancer) of his best friend (a fellow artist who went by the stage name Camu Tao - a name you might perhaps appreciate). The first song is called “Get Out of the Car” and focuses on his mental health struggles following the illness & death of Camu (or simply Mu, as his friends called him); the second is called “Shrunk” and focuses on his initial attempts to deal with/overcome said struggles; and lastly, the third is called “Kirby” and focuses on how he ultimately learned to cope with those struggles. I don’t want to overstate anything, but I am nearly 100% certain that you will absolutely love all three (and I am fully 100% certain you will be thoroughly impressed, if not blown away, by the artistry and lyricism).

I was once in this dark and depressed mindset which nearly led me to end my own life. But when i tried to get help by seeking Jesus. Everything changed. But one thing i found out is don't let these songs glorify the pain and suffering that you are going through, which will lead you to a darker pit. Instead use these songs to improve yourself and have a better mindset. Learn from these songs and be better. Hope exists, you just need the right place to find it. Take care of your mental health, by being careful with what you feed your heart and mind. Feed it only positivity and motivation. Take care of your Physical health, by being careful on what you feed your body. Eat healthy and exercise. And lastly take care of your spiritual health, by not feeding it sinfulness. Seek Jesus, pray and repent.
