I have an aerotrooper and did a bunch of mods. First was cut most of the roll cage and ditch all the accessories, seat, windshield just cut it all. Leave just the cage protecting the prop. It made it slightly faster and more quiet. I ran it 4s it woke up the dead. I turned motor shroud around, shimmed the motor to point down because it was unstable. Still was really loud. Still was really unstable. Modded to single rudder, moved the rudder 8 inches back, looked ridiculous but helped it run stable at high speed. Ran a lot better. Took a planer to the bottom hill to make it completely flat, can drift a little now and runs awesome on ice. Ditched the prop setup with an EDF and 3d printed parts and use the same rudder hardware but 3d printed parts. Hauls on 4s, twice as fast half as noisy. It accelerates until it flips on ice, in the water it drifts and spins. It is a total win as far as fun and reliability. 1. Too much junk on the boat. Get rid of the junk. 2. Make longer rudders or move them further back with custom mounts to impove high speed stability. 3. Take the servo out and relocate a waterproof micro servo to operate the rudder. I put it on the top of the hull near the hatch. More room in battery compartment. I run 4s 4000mah 4. pull the hull apart take out the foam then silicone seal the hull together.

I'm with Nathan on this one. That little guy (the UDI) is a bullet, but the speed is actually manageable with that stability and good handling. Seemed to handle the wind better than most, too.

I agree with both your choices. That ud/rc boat is an amazing boat for first enthusiast boat. That little pro boat though is just so much fun. The air boat looks amazing, but I think it is for someone who has every other type of boat and wants something unique. I think you should find a river with some little rapids or fast flow to show what the the bigger pro boat jet boat is capable of. Once again great job of bringing a variety of boats

Well this one is very novel! While I've decided I'm not an RC Boat guy this one is very neat looking. It would be good in my area and my waterways. This one actually kind of makes me want to scratch build an air boat. I have all the stuff to do it. If I do I will tag you guys. Thank to both of you for all you do for the RC hobby. I have been inspired to buy many rc units by you two and have almost always been super happy with the purchases and when not it was no fault of yours, it was either a fault unit or turned out to not be "my thing". PLUS I have been able to return the purchase at no loss to myself SO ALL IS GOOD! PLEASE know how much joy I get from watching you two enjoy this hobby together. My bride of 20 years and I are very much the same. We LOVE taking our crawlers out. Oh crud... I have typed a lot. Sorry for the long reply. Just want your guys to know we appreciate you! I have one. That boat is loud isn’t it. I bought it for my rescue boat to get any of my other boats if they flip and can’t get them back to the land. Built me a pvc rescue contraption to coral a flipped or dead boat

Way cool, might want to take out the gun on top of the cockpit and mount the gopro there. Move the CG back a bit. Wonder how hard it would be to build something like that from scratch? (Wouldn't have the cool injection molded body details, but other than that, it's not a real complicated machine.)

I am really enjoying you running the Trooper. Love the reversing esc. Do have a Cajun Commander. So interesting that you are doing Airboats too. With my Son a Police officer, Bought it for him. not as fast as the Cajun, Yet Trooper can chase alligators in the pond. have fun. Arrgh. Capt. Morgan. Did use to have a 28', 300 Hp Aircraft engine powered one. 3 place and me on the tower. have a great time with the boat.

Thanks for a great boat-week Saylors! This time around you did indeed select a bunch of winners. Said it before and say it again: you must include more point-of-view shots in your videos as those from the deck of the Aerotrooper looked really awesome. The Gopro was only too heavy and hindered the performance quite a bit imo, so I'd say get a Insta360 Go2 which you could also strap onto smaller craft (boats, cars, trucks and even planes) :-)

It’s definitely something fun to play with on the water but for me I prefer a boat powered by jet water or propeller. Maybe this evening will preform better on water that’s more calm. Great video. Always like both your reviews of rc vehicles, boats or aircraft

Huh? I couldn't hear anything till the end! 🤣 Yes the Cajun Commander is as loud and it doesn't have reverse. Thought it was neat that this one did, would come in handy in certain situations. Plans got changed, was going to take my Commander to the timber Saturday night and check out the lights, always wanted to ever since y'all did the darkening or evening run?, Either way I still want to do that! Maybe a Lego guy could drive this airboat or mount him up to operate the gun on the deck.

You have just dropped the coolest floating rc ever on your channel. if only it was in the $100 range, since it is missing a staple of air boats, the ability to go on land as well, unless i missed that part in the video, it looked like it could not go from land to water, or water to land, but it is super cool none the less. To bad it is so loud, kinda limits where you could use such, with that much noise your not going to be using that in the morning when the water is nice and calm at a marina or camp site.

I just tried 4S on this aerotrooper and it does not work, it turns off......🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 Even tried a different A.T. and still did not work with the 4s and at 90amp ESC,that's too much.....

I have scratch build air boats using electric power and they are not that loud. I use wood to build the boats so that may help dampen the sound of the prop. It would be interesting to see if filling the hull with spray foam would help?

I like the looks & size of this boat especially the lights, But, Big But the noise is horrible & possibly ear damaging. Also if your not really isolated your gonna get complaints. I'm sure Mr. Duck 🦆🦆🦆would have said something. Can't believe they couldn't quite it down Alot. I'm waiting to see the creek runner run in a creek. Boat creek week. 😁.
