Woke up with this song on my mind this morning.. after going through hurt within church, I was ready to walk away and not look back but God intervened in a mighty way, yesterday I prayed for going to church and God I’m giving my heart to you today to fix, I was having sharp pains in the chest area, I had a seizure during service and was taken to hospital they told me I could have a blood clot in lungs. After tests everything came back fine. I returned to church that same night and I can truly say God mended my heart. This testimony is for the heart that is listening to this, broken, weary, discouraged and ready to give up. Give it to God he will do the fixing.

This song will always remind me of a very special pastor I had growing up. Dr. Todd Morris. He used to love this song and didn't sing all the time, but when he did it was one of his go tos. A country preacher with a personality! Could give paint picures and tell stories with sweet words that touched the heart. In the early 2010's he lost the battle with cancer and threw off corruption and put on incorruption. Threw off mortality and put on immortality. He was a great pastor and one of my regrets in life is not making it known enough that he meant that much to me because at the time I was in my mid teens when he died. What a beautiful song and sang very well by this pastor. If you take anything from this be sure to let people who make a difference and mean something to you know that they do as often as you can.
