Peter you take such good care of Mary. You remind me of my husband who is just like you, he stays with me in the hospital almost all the time. He's done IV's., ports, TPN feedings. He's cleaned up throw up & blazing diarrhea, lol. That's love & you & Mary love each other so much, that's obvious. People that don't understand that are just missing out I suppose. It's so hard on the long term care giver & they don't get enough credit. Just keep loving each other & let God handle the rest. You two inspire me every day.

I agree Peter...you are an awesome caregiver and husband. My son is my caregiver and has been for about fifteen years plus. He does all the shots, meds, doctor trips..just everything plus all the cooking cleaning etc. I told him once you don't usually see sons taking care of their mothers like that. He is so compassionate and even does things like when I am in too much pain to be touched he will stand at the foot of my bed and say "hugging thoughts mama". I love it. Right now we are waiting on some tests to come back. I already have a long list of things wrong but now I have been dx with hemolytic anemia. and they are running all the tests to see why. I learned that is when your red blood cells are dying off quicker than you can make them. Still waiting on the cardiac ultrasound to see if the ventricle of my heart is still dilated from the massive blood clots. So has been a crazy time. I love a quote that Michael J Fox said talking about his health..Parkinsons...he said if he worried about all that was happening and all that was wrong, it would drive him crazy so he had some to realize that accepting what is helped him a lot. He went on to say "Acceptance isn’t resignation,” I remind myself often that God tells us over and over to not worry....and such peace I have had. Happy Birthday Mary. Looks like your birthday is starting off just grand. Cake looks yummy. I am sure it is nice to be where you can see Peter even in the kitchen. Son has my bedroom where it looks into the kitchen so I can watch him. :)

Happy early birthday ! For the bottles I would recommend peeling off as much of the sticker as you can, then spreading a generous amount of butter or coconut oil on the leftover sticker goo. If you let it sit for a while (I usually do overnight) the goo should come off pretty easily with soap and a sponge.

My husband is my caretaker and I'm thankful to have him cuz it is very hard to take of all 8 chronic illnesses and my emphysema including trying to find food I can eat with my 21 food allergies so I'm sure Mary is extremely grateful to have you Peter keep up the good work you are doing a great job :)

How to remove labels from glass bottles: Start by removing as much of the label as you can by hand, such as those that are attached with only a single strip of adhesive. Continue by using either of these methods. If you have chemical sensitivities or just don't like the smell, I suggest using the second method. 1. Using gloves, non-acetone nail polish remover, and paper towels or a cotton towel. Apply remover to label and adhesive by rubbing moistened towel in a circular motion until completely removed. 2. Add about a cup of baking soda to a sink or basin filled with very hot water for 10-20 minutes or until the labels come completely off. Then just rinse and dry... Hope these help! You were wondering about how to get labels off of glass bottles to use for plants in this video. From my personal struggle, I've learned to soak them in warm dish soap and water, peel as much as you can in the water. Then I use a vinegar solution to really get the little bits off with my fingertips. Then final, I usually put it in the dishwasher to make it shiny and nice. Sometimes I have to repeat the soakings two times, depending on how good the glue is. I hope this tip helps, one chronic illness warrior/plant lover to another!
