A trail angel is a person who helps hikers on a trail by providing food, transportation, or other assistance. The term is often used to describe volunteers who help hikers on long-distance trails. Trail angels can be one-time helpers or people who regularly provide assistance to hikers. They are often hiking enthusiasts who enjoy helping people and the outdoors.

One thing, I love about this game, is that the voice actors aren't professionals (or are they?). It's a different sort of visceral hearing 'regular' Mark and Sean- rather than a performance if you catch my drift. Hearing their voices crack when they're screaming as regular people do (vs Actors who do not). Everything just feels very, personal. All of the audio actually (as unbalanced as it is), the music, the voices, the sound effects, ugh- it's all so great.

Fun fact about crows: They've been observed not only making tools but also teaching other crows how to make and use tools too, which means that crows have actually entered the stone age. We're seeing another species evolve into sentient beings! In one study I found interesting, two crows were put into a room with some hard to reach food. They were provided with two tools: One bent piece of wire and one straight piece of wire. The crows didn't just argue over the better tool. No. They worked together to make the straight piece of wire into a bent one so that they BOTH had good tools.

As hilarious as the acting and some of the situations are, I think I love this because I am so sure that this is how two real life dudes would deal with this sort of situation. Amd the dumb jokes and laughing in a scary situation? Yeah, some people cope with fear with laughter. Totally legit. This game definitely has a sort of charm to it stylistically. It's a little strange and sometimes hard to follow, but it works. When you got to the point where you said "Does this sound like Twilight Princess to anyone else?" I had actually *just* been thinking the same thing. Absolutely sounds like Twilight monster fight music. I had been listening to my game bgm playlist prior to resuming this video and I had to check to make sure it wasn't playing because it struck me so hard.

3:30:00 One thing I've noticed so far is that a LOT of the sounds you hear in the forest could easily be bird noises... Owls at night? CAN sound like someone being tortured, just like the woman's voice 'screaming'. And notice that Sean's voice kinda has a strange screechy quality to it through this section while calling out for Mark. From the moment that part started I thought it sounded very birdlike as well, kind of like how a bird can shrilly "shriek" when they make a long, extended sound. At the very least, that did NOT sound like how a human would extended say "MAAAARK", it was just off. Kind of like the way AI is off how it speaks. I'm NOT saying it's AI btw, just that you can "hear" that something is off and that is not a human talking.... And there ARE birds that can sound like humans. This game has a lot of bird-related things (hell, it's in the title!) so I've been on the lookout for things that seem birdish.

1:56:45 Cataplexy is a sudden and temporary loss of muscle tone or paralysis that occurs during wakefulness. It's a defining symptom of narcolepsy and is triggered by strong emotions like laughter, surprise, or anger. The severity of cataplexy can range from minor facial muscle slackening to complete body collapse. During an episode, the person remains conscious and can breathe and move their eyes. Episodes usually last a few minutes or less and pass without intervention.

What a great story. I'm curious what the other ending would be. I don't think he actually cut himself in the end literally, it feels like it was more of him finally feeling the weight of the words he'd let come out of his mouth and the knife sequence was a representation of him regretting that. I love the ending for his friend. It suits him. Very good job by the devs ❤

Utah is "Mormon state" When his friend said "Did you know that in Utah you can drink soda but you can't drink tea?" that was why the guy you are playing as said "I'm not a Mormon." not because Mormons swear around their kids. Which some Mormons do, just like how some catholic and other Christians do. The reason you can't drink tea in Utah is because the Mormons aren't supposed to have caffeine as it goes against their religion. Pop/soda has caffeine in it but not as much as tea. So I think the friend brought it up because he thought it was weird. Which it is, I thought it was weird too when I learned about it. I used to be Mormon, so I know about it. Also they say they go by "LDS" or "Latter day saints" As the full name of the church is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints" (If anyone cares to know).

I think for The Dreamer and The Maestro choice, it was more about the MC's internal struggle. The Maestro was him trying to control others and freeing that part of him would help him see the error of his ways and make permanent changes. A maestro is conducting an orchestra, other people, not just in control of their own actions. The Dreamer did represent his daughter but it was also about any guilt and responsibility still remaining in his heart and mind regarding his family. Freeing The Dreamer was him feeling it was ok to let go of any guilt for not being a good father or husband and feeling like he had something to atone for. Haven't finished the video yet but that's my interpretation.
