James Marsters as Capt John Hart is just a chef’s kiss. You really should watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer. James Marsters as Spike is quite possibly the best character in the Buffyverse. He’s a charming man. Lol

Both Spike, and also Brainiac in Smallville. Always love seeing James Marsters. But yeah. He's brilliant as Spike. And considering Torchwood was so heavily inspired by Buffy/Angel, i love that they brought Spike into it. If Anthony Head wasn't already in Doctor Who, i would say he'd make an excellent Torchwood member.

The team dynamic is so much better this time around. I think that time period where Jack was missing did a lot of good for the rest of the team. I like to think the team has established some trust between eachother. And of course the episode ends with "back to work." When will Jack learn ?

Because the team (well, the Earthlings) are British, it's an affectionate amusement calling her 'tosh' which is British slang for 'nonsense'. Because you're not British it's kind of nice and respectful that you lean back toward the actual Japanese pronunciation. You do you 🙂

James Masters does the Spike accent and he's a match for newly returned Jack - or so it seems. The team have become much stronger however and Jack seems to have a new sense of purpose. A terrific start to the new series.
