I contest that. British culture is not simply a smattering of national dress, types of food etc. British culture has been continuous progress over hundreds of years. Industry, technology, inventions, medical, arts, music, politics, sport, commerce. That’s been the British culture. Before somebody pipes up “what about colonialism?” (which was deplorable) I don’t think generally that the ordinary working people were interested in that. The ones that gained the most then (as now) were the landowning elites and “kings (or queens) of business”.

Yes we did, it is similar to Irish cultural music. But Americans who are in charge of all media only show Irish music because that’s all they know, and they don’t feel like fetishising English music in the same way.

There was a unified British identity back in the 1700s to 1800s, then it died after WW2. Accelerated downfall with the Woke brigade.

He is correct. Many people don't know the definition of culture. On top of that, Britain was a project by English public schoolboys schooled in the classics who wanted to become the next Caesar and conquer the Isles.
