You guys are like the only reactors I saw understand Vi’s point of view when she hit Powder. Since Powder is younger, i see a lot of people hate on Vi without realizing that Vi is also just a kid. A 14 year old who had to grow up before her time and parent her younger sister. She has a lot of weight on her shoulders for a kid. And with seeing the death of Vander, Mylo and Clagger at the hands of her own sister (accident or not), it makes complete sense that a kid who just witnessed that trauma wouldn’t be able to handle that situation and lash out in anger, especially since violence is something she grew up surrounded in. Hell I know if I was in her place I would completely break down, and i’m 20. You also understood Powder’s point of view too, the entire thing was, in fact just an accident. She had the right intentions but in the end, it went wrong. Im excited to see your reactions to the story of these 2 sisters!!

Silco doesn’t want a war, he wants independence. In the scene, Vander says “Even with your monsters, you won’t win a war against Piltover” and Silco replies “I don’t have to, I just need to scare them. They won’t dare set foot in the underground again” It’s a scare tactic rather than trying to start an outright war. Silco’s method is definitely not good but his life experiences tell him this is the only way to approach the issues. But what Vander is doing isn’t so noble either, the Undercity is remaining stagnant with his methods. They’re all still suffering and no change is being made. I personally think they’re both wrong with how they tackle the problems of Zaun. Instead of all the infighting, they should’ve focused on getting to the real enemy: the oppression from Piltover.

A dream of freedom. Not just for the lanes, but the whole of the Underground, united as one! The nation of Zaun". No offense, but there's no point in denying that Silco is right in his methods. It's messed up that he felt the need to try killing Vander's kids (probably because he wants revenge), but Vander was never going to go back to fighting Piltover after what happened on the bridge, and nobody else was going to be able to try until Vander was dead and hidden. Vander wasn't willing to lose his friends and family to fight for freedom, and everyone else was. That's why the majority of the Underground turned on him, and why Sevika (who directly implied that she's known him since before the Underground was even a real place to live) decided to walk out in episode 2. And while I'm trying to avoid spoiler territory, I don't think it's ridiculous to say that Silco's plan was foolproof if the shimmer wasn't destroyed.

@@TJWatkins-qm3cn Yeah, I probably phrased that wrong because I agree with everything you’re saying. (I was trying to remain more neutral with my first comment because I got a lot of hate from people in the fandom the last time I was just explaining something with Silco in a more positive light.) Tbh, I do side more with Silco and his ambitions. Some of his actions are really messed up but like him and the title of this episode said “base violence necessary for change”. Ultimately, Silco never stopped fighting for the Undercity. And what I meant by infighting was Vander wanting Silco to stop his plans and Silco trying to take out Vander’s kids. I just meant that they weren’t on the same page of setting their sights solely on Piltover. (I’m not too good with words and explaining my thoughts, genuinely sorry about that 😅)

The intentions of characters like Mel and Silco are supposed to be difficult to fully understand at this point in the story, but be prepared for people in the comments to just tell you things about them that you aren't supposed to know for another 4 to 6 episodes. I don't know why people can't just keep it in, but it happens with every reaction to this series that I've seen so far

Come on, man. It's not a spoiler just because YOU didn't realize it at that point in time. Silco's intentions are made clear in this episode: "I don't have to (win a war), I just need to scare them. They won't dare set foot in the Underground again.", "We shared a vision, Vander. A dream of freedom. Not just for the lanes, but the whole of the underground, united as one! Do you even remember?". Mel's intentions aren't vague, they're just unimportant. Mel wants money and for Piltover to be more famous, hence like... 3 lines of dialogue in episode 2. SILCO'S intentions on the other hand are not only made the center of attention in every scene he appears in, but are also the crux of the Undercity's half of the story.

But, other reactors fail to see this and even in the last scene of the show, assume that silco is taking advantage of her when it's clearly not true. It's so they know. Not a spoiler since it's never brought up in the show again.

@@aranthur No. It's not. Ok let me explain. Silco from episode 1-3 is portrayed as the villain. So when he goes over to powder, you assume he's going to either kill her or manipulate her and work for him. Now, in the last minutes of episode 3, we can see that at first, silco plans to do something bad to her but when he realises that she's like him, you see his face drop and you can see that he's empathetic towards her. The show didn't say that, they showed it with the facial expressions. This makes viewing episode 4-9 differently than if you assumed he's just manipulating her. This is all from what they showed in episode 3 and the comments are just saying what they SHOULD know from watching episode 3. But some people tend to forget that arcane isn't all good and all bad. so no, it is NOT a spoiler.

It was Silco's fault that Vander, Mylo and Clagger were killed. Powder did cause the explosion, but Silco is the reason why they were all there. Please remember it's all Silco's fault!!

All Vi had to do was close the door.. All Vi had to do was give Vander the stones.. All Vi had to do was not fall for a trap.. '"you say light a fire and they bring oil, but what ever happens its on YOU" ... Powder was just another one of Vis victims. Also Powder is not the VI lian in this story

To be fair, vi isn't the one who caused it, neither is powder. It's a mix between Vi, powder, Vander and of course Silco. People tend to blame it on either the 2 sisters without realising that both of them are children that wanted their father figure back. So don't expect them to behave calmly and rational.

@@hyperfixreak You do NOT deserve to have a suguru pfp. I'll say it twice in the same thread. You are the reason shows have to say everything and not just show you. Ppl are dumb as hell. First, vi told her that "family sticks together" "you're ready powder" then, when powder takes the gems from jayce's place, Vi tells powder not to tell vander. When vander gets taken away, powder wants to fight for her father figiure. Vi tells her she's not ready. From vi's perspective, it's because she doesn't want powder to get hurt. From powders perspective, it's because she's a jinx and now even vi thinks so. Powder sees the gems and thinks she can help them. If powder had succeeded, everyone would have thought that she was a hero. Also, she didn't know silco was to one to kill her father. She never even once saw silco before.
