Comparing Jinx to Harley Quinn does Jinx a disservice in my opinion. She's a much more complex and developed character.

Jinx and Harley are very similar, in the Latin Spanish dub she shares VA with the most recognizable Harley voice in Spanish dub (series, and movie Harley)

Yeah, Jinx is _literally_ psychotic, as in she has psychosis, i.e "An acute or chronic mental state marked by loss of contact with reality, disorganized speech and behavior, and often by hallucinations or delusions." In other words she crazy. Before this show I thought Jinx was just a cheap Harley Quinn knockoff, but Arcane does such a good job of making her an interesting, entertaining character without making mental illness look fun or cool or like a superpower. She's way more developed than Quinn imo. Also, good on you guys for realizing that wasn't Vi at the beginning. So many reactors get confused by that.

I was so dumb, I actually did on my first watch. Even after Jinx says "a girl, with pink hair" and we were supposed to get it, she wasn't actually Vi, but I was still thinking she was. Then at the end of the episode when we see Vi, the gears were still slow in my head and it took me a while to realize Vi hadn't picked herself up off the ground, fled the scene of the airship and immediately got arrested. :D On my second watch-through, I totally understood.

I will never understand why no one trusts Mel Medarda. She's never not been honest with what she wants. Every episode she's like "let's sell hextech, make lots of money and put Piltover on the map" and every reactor is like "... but what are you up to you scheming temptress?" She's telling you all the time! Money, power, influence.

Because she's the most powerful & richest person in Piltover plus she's a politician. We have every right to be suspicious of her. And she _is_ manipulative sometimes, but that's not always a bad thing. She wraps people around her fingers to achieve her goals and subtly guides them to choose what she wants. It makes sense why anyone wouldn't trust her off the bat.

​@@Shythalia I'm being slightly facetious, I understand the audience is _supposed_ to distrust Mel, I just think it's funny that she's basically open from the start with what she wants yet reactors suspect this sinister secret agenda. Like, everyone believes she's manipulating Jayce, but looking at it objectively what has she done that's actually to his detriment? I'd argue all she's done is guide him to success.

Is Jinx a villain now? short answer: yes. more elaborate answer: she is the protagonist alongside Vi. and they would both do the same if you change small details, so in reality they are heroes from their perspective, in short they are gray characters, like everyone.

This is realistic characters, villain is something non existent in real life and neighter in arcane. No such thing as villain, it doesnt exist. The world is more complex than that and so is arcane

there are bno heroes and villains in this story...with couple exceptions they are all villains , bad people doing bad things to eachother... Jinx is not more of a villain than politicians in Piltover , well you guys will see more in season 2

However, who is at fault is ever so simple, just ask yourself why were any of them there? If you can't draw the correct conclusion then, perhaps, try watching the show again but pay closer attention.

@@k1988smith you're right, it's piltover councils fault for not caring or fixing their city to the point they became divided from them so extremely much that the undercity was forced to have their own leaders and try to fix it so people could live better. Government sucks and is the evil one who caused all of it to begin with.

I was going to post a long post, but I am going to hold back my comments. All I can say is that I think your opening comments definitely are a disservice to powder/jinx and understanding the nuisances of this show. I am giving some benefit of the doubt since it's only episode 4 also. I can't deny as others, many are emotionally attached to this show, so it's easy to get a lot of mean comments for any different critique and media is subjective, but I do hope by the end you understand how masterful the actual script writing, character development and how every character in this show has immense amount of depth to who they are.
