Ekko and Powder used to play the shoot-dodge the bullet game as kids. That’s why she knew what he was indicating with the watch and the flashback as kids, but he has learned from the past, thus he was shot as a kid, but knew to hit her mid air in real life.

​@@gustavgustav2670not so much her own terms but shes sad man. it finally hits her that she is literally fighting her best friend and that ekko still sees her as what she once was when the final moment comes despite how hard he has tried to convince himself and everyone else that powder doesnt exist anymore and its just been jynx. she didnt want any of this man, she wants it to all be over

MINOR SPOILERS: in the League of Legends game Ekko has an ability to go back in time 5 seconds, which I think the fight between Ekko and Jinx is sort of a nod towards.

Jinx wasn’t doing that to trick him. If she was actually trying to trick him with killing intent she would have attached the bomb to him and got away but didn’t. She was pretty much ready to die in that moment.
