There's NOTHING wrong with the Witcher 4 Trailer... (Book Lore Explained in DETAIL)

I'm still on my 10th run, 1000's of hours on Witcher 3 and detailing every quest or unknown quest, locations, unknown locations and treasure. Why ? because I love the Witcher 3 and the Freedom to go anywhere whenever you want is amazing. Witcher 4 - it looks good, but I'll leave it to the younger generation. I'm pushing almost 70 and content with playing Geralt. I hope it's a game that most of the fans will like. We shall see

I hate the term *woke/antiwoke* it's so annoying. Politics have always been in games, I think the issue is a ton of players haven't quite caught on that there are so many games right now. We're at the point where not every AAA game is going to appeal to everyone and that's ok. I'm finding myself playing games from two years ago,... because I finally got around to them or the finished product lured me back in. I mean, seriously... I just started playing The Witcher 3. I was totally not into Geralt he just came off as too much of an edge lord. I have no idea why I thought that, but now years later, I'm older... he's got a certain appeal that I like now for whatever reason. But, you almost lost me with that _woke mind virus_ crap, lol... I almost tuned out. That's how much I hate the term, mostly because of all the new terminology everyone has adopted only so they can remember where and when they should get mad. It's like people are training themselves to be pissed off, all the time, and that's just terrible. As for politics, I don't mind it at all but _writers_ used to know how to include it, seems they've not been able to do that to well as of recent. I don't really get all up in my feelings about girlboss stuff either, it just doesn't bother me at all. The only quibble I have is, to _bring some sexy back_ it's ok to have a smart, badass, cool fighter, and also look good doing it! I would tell them, _"Hey, you know what'll help your Girlboss, feminist, half-dragon, part god? Boobs!"_ then I would give them a thumbs up and say, _"She could look good while spreading that progressive message! Bouncing as she does it!"_

@@Unworshipediety Diversity or inclusion is by no means a bad thing I would imagine most gamers would agree, it all depends on the context of said game/world/location or when done in bad faith it ends up making characters one dimensional and not fun to play which defeats the purpose of playing the game, which is ridiculously common nowadays and people are very sensitive on both sides even if they don’t want to admit it. Hahaha yeah if I’m being honest I don’t like the woke/anti woke terminology either but there’s no other way of referring to these 2 groups that have been split right down the middle as far as I’m aware of, and I refer to it as a ‘woke mind virus’ because these writers and developers are using there own personal beliefs and politics in games/franchises that don’t belong and can’t see the ‘writing on the wall’ , which is what I take issue with. Take a game like Dragon Age The Veilguard for example, I’ve played the OG Dragon Age trilogy to death at this point and those games are ridiculously political, almost to the same extent as game of thrones, but in-game politics and real world/modern politics are 2 very different things, that most people used to be able to differentiate between the 2 and that goes for both writers and players. Adding that pronoun stuff to a game like Dragon Age doesn’t make sense in the context of that franchise which is the devs pushing there own personal views which is made even worse by the lecturing and pandering in the game itself that’s led to a lack of actual rpg gameplay and choices and makes every companion and character one dimensional and boring, where as on the other hand you have players wanting to have inclusivity in literally everything like the recent controversy of kingdom come deliverance 2 with having a lack of diversity, which is the ‘woke’ (sorry lol) crowd wanting black people in central medieval Europe in the Slavic countryside, I don’t need to explain why people complaining about that is stupid because it’s self explanatory. For me personally, it’s the complete disregard of common sense and logic in regards to the context of these games and worlds, which has been replaced by everyone’s own biases and pre conceived notions that affects their ability to be objective when assessing products because they can’t take the ‘personal’ out of it, that’s what I wanted to address in this video regarding the Witcher 4 trailer because in this case making assumptions about this trailer and jumping the gun on calling Ciri a girboss is hilarious, which makes me suspect that a lot of these people have not read the books, which is ok if you haven’t of course but when statements like that are made it makes me wonder ‘why’ because the context is what is important.
