Fellow winemaker and chemist here (from California) it is illegal to use extra sugar to dose still wines here and a lot of other countries mostly from Europe. The only time dosing (adding sugar) is allowed here is in sparking wine which almost all countries do. Most of the time if you are getting headaches from wine it IS the sulfites in the wine that cause headaches. Wine grapes get powdery mildew which needs chemicals to treat or the grapes are not viable for the inoculation process. On that note sugar free wine cannot exist because the grapes themselves give off a huge amount of sugar (measured in Brix) which are natural, that are used to feed the yeast. To have more knowledge on the topic please look up enology or viticultural practices.

Bobby, could you maybe do a science explained type video where you go through some of the most toxic things in foods and explain what the research does and does not say about these? For example, you said that glyphosate is so widely used and fake studies show that it is okay, but it's still pretty hard to believe it's that toxic if it's used so much. What are the effects of having it regularly? Or once in a while in the case of beer/spirits? Other topics that could use some scientific backing are the processed oils or fake sugars.
@kstrejc994 жыл бұрын
If it were toxic all of our farmers would be dead from 4 decades of use.
@bombzicle4 жыл бұрын
Right, if these things were as toxic as he's making them sound, we'd all be dead since people have been having that stuff for generations. I need more detail here, because I'm not about to give up all beer except for a select few.
@Noname896424 жыл бұрын
The reason is because he has no scientific evidence. He talks absolute rubbish. While I agree that you need to eat more whole foods minimally processed foods, he just makes everything up as he goes. The fact that he is more hang up on glyphosate than on the alcohol content is astounding since numerous studies confirm alcohol as a neurotoxin. 🙄
@bombzicle4 жыл бұрын
@@Noname89642 Yeah, he basically calls fake news on all the studies that say that some of these things he calls toxic aren't actually toxic...but then there's no backing of that claim. I like his videos, he does a good job finding products that use clean ingredients, but I strongly disagree with some of his claims that everything else is toxic. I think part of this is building up his own brand and making the channel more appealing to sponsors. If he can convince his audience that everything but what he recommends is toxic, companies like Epic are more likely to sponsor.

We need to close the loop. Let’s find out what it takes to make them stop. Because of grocery delivery I got peanut butter I would never have chosen, had I observed . Made with palm tree oil. Inedible......can’t get it off a spoon... total yuck. What are we doing to our kids? Typically, we don’t do any because we don’t have a dog in that fight. Not true. We’re all paying for illnesses. John Robert Lewis said, when you see something is wrong, there’s a moral obligation to do something, to say something. Got a lousy product? Snap a picture, send to email buds and copy the message you sent (obliterated email bud's addresses for privacy) to manufacturer. Say .....we’ve had enough. Oh, and what did you do with the actual peanut oil....if you use it you wouldn’t need ghastly palm oil which robs birds and animals of their God given food source. Bobby and crew are more than grocery items and meal tips. Bobby is like Jamie Oliver and Jose Andrés, they can change minds.
