What I really love about this fight is the final rasengan chidori clash. It highlighted the qualities that pressumably Ashura and Indra handed over to their reincarnations, but was beautifully highlighted throughout the series Sasuke kept relying to his uchiha innate powers and his own power, discarding people he made connection throughout the process from leaving konoha to stabbing karin to get through danzo. He kept chasing power to the detriment of his own health; from accepting a curse mark from Orochimaru to going blind from overusing his mangekyo sharingan. And in the end, it's only him and his rinnegan to create a chidori engulfed in amaterasu. meanwhile Naruto was uplifted by every bond he made throughout the series, from summoning gamabunta to fight gaara to sharing the chakra of kyuubi to the whole ninja alliance. He kept making bonds, changing people despite decimating people he cared about, from Nagato who killed his mentor to Obito who was responsible for the death of his parents to Kyuubi, the one who directly stabbed his parents through their bowels. And the very same Kyuubi, saved up some chakra for him; to use for a final clash of attack and ideals against his bestfriend. It was a beautiful scene, it had the weight of the whole series behind it; it was a masterpiece from the crisp animation to the 15 years of serialization it had on its shoulder.

one of my favorite scene is when they are both "dieing" and Naruto stands opposite of Sasuke and Sasuke stands in the dark with nobody around and Naruto with all his friends. I wanted so bad for Sasuke to go to the other side. And then we saw something for the first time in 500 episodes. Sasuke smiled and laughed from his heart and really meant it. So sweet and i cried rivers seeing him smile. I was so happy for them both

I’m surprised you didn’t mention that great extra studio Pierrot added, when chakra Kurama Naruto pinned Perfect Susanoo Sasuke down and was hesitant to finish him with a tailed beast bomb Sasuke countered by using kirin. That wasn’t in the manga and for such a cool and powerful jutsu Sasuke never canonically used it again after the fight with Itach.

Cell, frieza and piccolo jr were introduced within their arc so there is no attachment to them. Vegeta vs goku is similar but vegeta never saw goku as family or a brother so it was just rivals fighting against each other. It was cool as heck tho

Everyone knew they would just beat each other solve their relationship there, but there was never risk involved. Because of that i wouldnt even consider for anything close to GOAT fights debate. i think in show we have so many other Epic fights that imo are superior to this one. But this fight really built these two characters up the whole series and then had them fight for the sake of the world. I got a lot of problems with Naruto Shippuden. I got a lot of problems with the character of Sasuke and I have a lot of problems with his and Naruto's relationship. However, this fight is a glorious way to end the series. Pretty spectacular and demonstrates how an animation studio can take liberties to elevate the source material as has been done again and again in other series like One Piece, JJK, Mob Psycho, etc

While this is a fight I love very much, I wouldn't say it was the best fight in Shonen There are fights even in Naruto itself that I put at relative level of hype like the 1st fight of Naruto vs. Sasuke or Naruto vs. pain even Kakashi vs. Obito, even though it's a pretty short fight There's also bleach that I love equally as much, and it has done an amazing job with a few of its fights, and TYBW just goes so hard Right now, from TYBW, my favorite fight is still the Yama vs. Yhwach fights, it is only 1 episode long, but it is just so insane that I think it exceeds any other But I believe that Core 4 of TYBW will likely change my mind as there are some truly insane fights coming up

They talk too much in the fight. The episodes have great moments but they don’t actually “FIGHT” long before the momentum is stopped by talking and flashbacks. It’s almost annoying on rewatch, especially in a group setting.
