The really sad thing is that they didn't tell Oden what was happening on Wano while he was still on Roger's ship. I can't imagine Roger being the type of guy to just leave Wano to it's own trouble. Imagine Oden's battle against Kaido if he was backed up by the Pirate King himself and his crew. It would be a short 3 day intermission before they went back on their journey to laughtale leaving orochi in the dirt and Kaido's skull cracked.
