I asked Chatgpt to analyze the transcripts and this is what it says: Brad Lea consistently takes an aggressive tone, often interrupting and challenging John. The repeated jabs, sarcastic comments, and insinuations create a tense atmosphere. John Sarasani defends himself but is visibly pushed into a defensive position by Brad’s relentless questioning and accusations. Brad uses a confrontational style, employing rhetorical questions, sarcasm, and strong opinions to push his point. He accuses John of having a “chip on his shoulder” and not fully recognizing his worth, which escalates the tension. (This episode was Brad Lea at his worst.)

John is correct. 99% of the time trying a hard close tactic like that in a B to B environment doesn't go well. And that's an understatement, it's usually worse because it negatively affects the business relationship you have or are trying to build. You ALWAYS want repeat business, but it's even more important in B to B, not so much in B to C, depending on the business of course.

B2B and B2C is very different. Ive done both. B2B requires selling into multiple depts and stake holders, deals can take months or years, you may have to bring in a team and specialists as partners in the sales process. I was great immediately at the quick transactional sale and it took me years to get good at selling into large companies. It’s not the same as selling a car at all. John is right. Brad with the L.

Brad I've always been a fan! But bro you can't talk shit about having a waterfall in your living room if you don't have one...😂 I don't think people see what Brad is doing here (intentionally or not). Pushing John to charge his followers a bunch of money (which I have no problem with) is pulling John's reasoning out for why he's doing it - because it's fun to him and its a way he can provide value to people at scale. The fact that he only charges what his cost is just shows that he doesn't give a fuck about making money off people who follow him and how he "should do it" and instead cares more about giving to others than receiving. It's his thing, it's growing and working. If the purpose of the podcast wasn't to show this about John I feel the questioning could have been more relevant to viewers. I think the outcome of the conversation was beneficial for us viewers but it's because of the way John stuck to his beliefs and principles when he kept being brought back to Brad's sell for why he should charge people more money. Not hating, just adding to the conversation. Great to see these two speak. And I fully support the waterfall
