Can we please talk about how on Shrink Ray Island the kid whose room you’re in just kinda has a toy of *the* Poptropica blimp, of which there is canonically only one, so this is a toy of *your* specific blimp, even if Shrink Ray is your first island. Also, after you get shrunk down, you can use the blimp as a blimp and just kinda leave and you go back to full scale and from there you can even redo the annoying bad terrible tutorial they added and get a new real blimp and bring it back to the island and so now that kid just owns a real actual blimp. This has bothered me since I was a kid.

Definitely worth checking out. I recently downloaded it and completed all the og islands that I could never complete when I was young. Look at their wiki to see the installation process.

I loved Poptropica when I was a kid so I recently logged back onto my old account only to discover that on the free website version, they got rid of like all of the good islands: Vampire’s Curse, Skullduggery, Monster Carnival, Mystery Train, Ghost Story, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, etc. I really miss them. as a big long-time fan of Poptropica, this made me so happy!! ❤ although the game/fanbase has seen better days, it still holds a lot of sentimental value to me and i enjoy making content for this niche community, as well as seeing fun vids like this! definitely would love to see more on some of the islands you didn’t mention much, like Survival, Monster Carnival, etc and perhaps more of the villains! :) oh yeah it’s also worth mentioning that in 2017, i was granted beta testing access to Poptropica Worlds and i’m considered a VIP (very important Poptropican) 🌟

That’s so awesome!! It kills me that flash is dead and they never found a proper replacement that could support the larger chunk of now missing content. I know I just sound over-nostalgic maybe, but I really would love a massive comeback of the old games like Poptropica, Webkinz, Club Penguin etc. we absolutely have the tech and capabilities, and the love for these IP’s is still clearly there 😭

This game used to be my childhood along with animal jam. I also remember that I spent a lot of time just replaying the same island over and over and eventually looked up guides for new islands (because I got bored). Sad that you can't really visit your friends in the game like you could in animal jam. I think you needed to actually buy your own lobby to do that. I also had the Poptropica DS game only to unlock that clothing set, I then sold it to a second hand game store. Kinda regret it.

The best thing is that you can track when the second book occurs based on the H.M.S Terror existing which was a real ship that tried to figure out a way through the Artic waters. The people on the Terror had to resort to cannabalism and all died which is crazy that this is lore in Poptropica. Edit to add: I am not saying Octavian is right for wanting to destroy the people who killed his girl but I am not saying he’s wrong.
