You talked about some pretty important concepts that I feel like every superhero comic fan should know. Superman learning from his mistakes and learning how to stop mind control, Clark Kent not always being a bumbling fool and standing up for himself, and of course Lois not being selfish and actually being a supportive wife for Clark. This goes to show that the Superman media adaptations don't show every necessary part which end up causing misconceptions and it's better to read the comic to understand a bigger picture. Great video Dylan.

Smallvile,Superman and Lois do good jobs at humanizing Clark it's just the films that suck

Camelot falls is a great comic. Love pretty much anything Kurt Busiek writes

I would love to see Khyber return in the future, in all honesty he should have been the new leader of leviathan after talia al ghul was ousted

@warlord8106 Completely agree. He showed up for a bit during Busiek's run on Trinity but I believe that was the last time we saw him.

How I first learned about this book was from this Will Wulff from Wulff Den where he did a top 5 Underrated Superman stories and this one Camelot Falls was his #1 and I’ve been wanting to get it for a while and then thankfully last year they released a deluxe edition for this book and I was so happy to have it and my god man it’s such a great story

It's a shame that this era of Superman is so underrated, I think because it was published at the same time as Johns' run on Action, which had more spotlights. Even so, Busiek's work on Superman is great, he wrote him as a very intelligent character, he also brought in classic villains like the Insect Queen and the Kryptonite Man. I also love how he wrote the relationship between Clark and Lois, his comics are very good. By the way, if you read this comment, please excuse my bad English.

You're right, this story deserves more respect. So sad that there will be no more Carlos Pacheco art. The problem with modern writing is they are writing "content" and not fiction. Too busy dreaming of NETFLIX deals. Great video 👍

I remember reading it when it came out originally. There were so many delays on it, reading it was a very disrupted experience. So it probably didn't make the impact on me it should have. Would be interesting to read it all again and judge it now I can read it in one go.

@paultapner2769 I've had that same experience with some comics before, delays can really kill the enjoyment of a story. Highly recommend giving Camelot Falls another shot tho.

Same. This was a great era for DC. I was buying like 15 titles a month just from them at the time. Now I want to go reread the Busiek run in one take!!!

Busiek is a solid ass writer. The first issue of Astro City is beautiful, and you'll probably love it as well, being a huge Superman fan! I wish I could read Camelot falls, but DC is channeling Marvel with that book and refuses to put it out in softcover. Thanks... Now I can't read it, because it'll break my magnifying glass, that I need to read. That's annoying as hell. But they are putting out 2 Superman COMPENDIUM BOOKS next year. YYYYYYEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!! I'M HYPED!

Do I really need to read anything else before reading it?
@TheRealComicBookGamer2 ай бұрын
Not really. You can read Up, Up and Away before this and it's great but it's not something you have to read to understand what's going on in Camelot Falls.
