Every song that came on for like 30-minutes of driving had me geeked and I had the windows down singing loud and enjoying my drive. Then the radio announcer came back and said, "We'll be back with more oldies after this." WHAT!? All the music I had been listening to were songs I from my teens and young adult years. When did the music that I grew up with become oldies? I had to pull over onto the shoulder of the highway and collect myself. I spent the rest of the drive having to make peace with fact that I was no longer young.

I’ve aged well and missed some traditional life stages that mark age, so I don’t FEEL or really see myself as “old.” The one thing that disgusts me beyond belief is when someone tries to imply that I should be happy to date/sex/marry men who are ridiculously older than myself or that I should be less choosy about the quality of men I accept in my life. The implied message is that, since I’m no longer “young and fresh” I should just be grateful for whatever attention or interest I get regardless of who it comes from and whether it’s actually good for me. If I don’t have the right to have an attractive (to me) gentleman similar in intellectual and emotional intelligence and with decent communication skills why am I dating in the first place? Most people would never tell a younger woman to sell herself short just to have a man in her life. Single women in midlife are automatically assumed to be desperate and expected to be grateful for whatever they get. Reality doesn’t work this way.

Jeannie with the club is so me 😂 I’ll be at a club in C London and think “why do they have to have it so loud?” and then i’ll think, will the DJ listen to me and NOT judge if I ask them to turn it down a little 😂 but for real, does it have to be that loud?

Pleaaaase, I had my first "skin tag" at age 13 or something (I'm 25 now and I have about 5 of them), it has nothing to do with age, it can happen at any time😉

I turned 30 and got my first chin hair. Was looking in the mirror and thought something was on my face. Tried to wipe it off and realized it was a hair. Yes Addreine! My knees started cracking too. I was startled. Btw Tam, yes keep taking Gingko! I don't want to see you get Alzheimers. Btw skin tags are a form of a mole or pieces of skin that start forming a shape and hanging off your body in an odd way. You should see a doctor A. Just make sure it's not cancerous. Plus skin tags ain't beautiful. Seems like Addreine likes unpleasing things in all aspects lol

I feel you Adrienne! Many black people get skin tags. People from where my mum’s family come from, the Comoro islands get them. We call them vingazija, after the Comoro island (Ngazija) that we are from. When I was younger, I looked at my aunts and admired their skin tags so much. But I was worried that because my dad is Indian, I may not get them. 😂 I recently got streak of some on my cheek bone a couple of years ago and I love them. I always look out for more. One celebrity that has plenty on them and I love it, Morgan Freeman.
