Adrienne did understand. The other ladies weren't understanding her until Amanda iterated what she was saying at the very end.
@SoshiStars4 жыл бұрын
Rachel Rae *they did understand her but that wasn’t the point, Adrienne misunderstood what the point of the discussion was actually about for example the bridesgroom situation- Adrienne was only thinking about the aesthetic and “look” of the wedding when that’s not the point it’s about men and women being able to stand on opposite sides and avoiding traditions. And it was so hard for them to explain to her because she was fixated on LOOK and wasn’t looking at it in a different perspective*
@ashleyconeys46443 жыл бұрын
It was a cultural misunderstanding. She didn't know bride and grooms have separate wedding parties. I didn't either. We usually have 1 wedding party, the men stand together and the women stand together. Doesn't matter whose family or friend they are. So she's talking from that perspective which is how it is in Puerto Rican weddings. Why would you have 2 separate wedding parties anyway? Also, do American women not have their brothers or male cousins in their weddings just bc they're guys? It's very confusing. They can just stand with the guys.

I get what Adrienne was saying, but that wasn’t the question. Ray is obviously closer to Adrienne, so the idea is for him to be in Adrienne’s wedding party (rather than Israel’s just because he’s a guy).
@ashleyconeys46443 жыл бұрын
I think people are having cultural misunderstanding. In latin weddings we don't see it as 2 separate wedding parties. It's just 1 wedding party. The men stand on the side of the groom, and the women stand on the side of the bride. Like if my brother is in my wedding, he stands next to the groom. Has nothing to do with which one of us he knew longer.
@gaila.98523 жыл бұрын
Ashley Coneys I know. That’s a different topic. Also, I didn’t mention knowing someone longer.
@ashleyconeys46443 жыл бұрын
@@gaila.9852 I didn't say you did, but it seems like people think that there are 2 separate wedding parties and you go with the one of the person you knew longer/are closer to. Adrienne and Israel wouldn't have separate wedding parties. They have 1 wedding party and any guys in the party stand with Israel. It doesn't matter who "Ray is closer to". There is no such thing as Israel having his own wedding party and Adrienne having her own.

@@gaila.9852 yes, and I am saying maybe Adrienne doesn't know that bc it's not her culture. I didn't realize that people had 2 wedding parties. I thought it was 1 party and they just had the men stand together and the women stand together. Like usually your siblings are in your wedding, right? A bride doesn't have her brother in bc he's not a girl? Or a groom doesn't have his sister? The question is based on an assumption that everyone knows that or thinks like that.

This is interesting and definitely situational. I’m currently engaged and my only criteria with this is I want both wedding parties to be even number for the aesthetics. With that being said, I will have 8 bridesmaids (females), my fiancé will have 8 groomsmen (males). I also have two male best friends who are super cool with my fiancé but I don’t think it’s fair for me to tell him that he has to make them his groomsmen as much as I would love to have them in the wedding. Even if my fiancé only had 6, and needed 2 more he’d probably want to find 2 of his own.

So why not have coordination and have females on my side and males on the other? Like it just looks nicer. Plus I wouldn’t want my male friend there if he doesn’t support or have a relationship with my husband because I don’t need those vibes at OUR wedding.

I get what she said, but that wasn't the question. The tradition is for the woman to invite women to stand on her side and the man to invite men to stand on his side. The topic they discussed is a woman inviting a man who will stand on her side because he is closer to her and in her party (and vice versa). You and your husband probably have mutual friends, but you also have your own friends. The idea is for your male best friend to stand on your side because he is YOUR best friend.

The audience was silent as the grave when Adrienne was taking 😂 I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thought that was wack. I am on MOH for my best friend’s wedding and I know her future husband a little bit, but it would definitely be weird if I wasn’t standing by her side, and instead standing over by her man... I see what Adrienne is getting at but the reality is that not all friend groups integrate to that point. I think her POV was just a bit gendered... why can’t my male/female/non-binary friend stand at my side? Who cares if we’re mixing up the genders?
@gaila.98524 жыл бұрын
Why wouldn't you stand on your friend's side if you're HER friend? The whole point is that if you were her husband's friend, you should stand on his side and not hers just because you're a woman.
@1995ENG4 жыл бұрын
@@gaila.9852 exactly, that's what I am saying. It's probably a bad example because my friend and I both identity as women, but I agree with you. The groom/bridal parties should be able to stand next to the person they are at the wedding for, regardless of gender. If I was close with the groom and not so much the bride, and he wanted me in his party, I would hope he'd let me stand up with him even though I'm not a man. Its just a super gendered idea that the sexes must be separated; the point is to stand up with the person who you know and love, and be there with them on this journey of their union.
@gaila.98524 жыл бұрын
Eleni Gast Thanks for explaining. The part where you said it would be weird for you to stand on her husband’s side threw me off. I just thought that didn’t apply since you’re the bride’s friend. Anyway, I agree with you. I get what Adrienne was saying and that spouses have mutual friends, but the truth is that Ray is more her friend than Israel’s. Yes, he’s there for the union, but he’s Adrienne’s best friend. Ray standing on Israel’s side since he’s a guy and for all the guys to be together is the outdated idea the hosts were talking about. Adrienne was simply thinking of coordination for pictures.

How do people not understand what Adrienne is saying? Maybe it's a Latin thing? We don't have 2 SEPARATE wedding parties. We have 1 wedding party. The men in the party stand next to the groom, the women in the party stand next to the bride. It's not the groom's party and the bride's party. They stand on the side of their gender, not the side of the person they've known the longest. Like if my brother is in my wedding, he stands next to the groom. It's not that hard. why would he stand next to me??

I get that perspective but your brother is your family not a friend . He is now brother in laws with your husband so it would make more sense for him to be on his side. If you had a male best friend they are just saying it’s now the cool thing to make him your maid of honor.

Adrienne just needed to calm down on this one, your volume doesn’t need to be that amplified to get a point across, especially when you’re quite off topic at times. Listening=understanding= a better response.

adrienne only knows how to listen to respond and react, never to understand. it’s so frustrating.

Adrienne.. Adrienne 🤦🏻♀️. Completely didn’t understand the topic because she was legit confused lol. Had she got it, she could have just said her personal preference is aesthetics for the photos. Wasted time.

I think people are having cultural misunderstanding. In Puerto Rican weddings we don't see it as 2 separate wedding parties. It's just 1 wedding party. The men stand on the side of the groom, and the women stand on the side of the bride. Like if my brother is in my wedding, he stands next to the groom. Has nothing to do with which one of us he knew longer.

People who are that athletically demanding that you can’t have people of different genders on your side. they stood by you in life but you need it to look right so it has to be girls one side boys other. DUMB. Just coordinate everyone’s outfits with a color scheme and let everyone combine stand up with you. My god.

Adrienne completely missed the point. She was getting her self worked up for no reason. If you don’t understand it let someone explain to you. Calm down jeeze

Why is this so difficult for Adrienne to understand. A marriage is also about bringing two lives together. So the people standing on your side is your people and the people on the grooms side is his people. Having them as partners in the bridal party is part of showing the two lives being brought together. Your people becoming his people. Why is she always acting like its difficult to understand certain things.

Producers imma help you out since you will most than likely wrongly recast the show you don’t need to hire 2 new people. Here it goes hire either sherry Shepard or Nick cannon. They’re worth every penny.
