I loved what Adrienne pointed out. A good heart really does go a long way and I think it’s worth building your career around your character strengths if you’re able to. It’s a beautiful thing. I understand what it feels like to have nothing to offer career wise but the only reason I stepped into the medical field was because I started caring for the residents and didn’t like feeling useless. The medical field was never my dream job but it’s slowly becoming part of it because I’m finding a new love of wanting to properly take care of others and allowing God to take the best of me and pour it into my work. ❤❤❤❤ May God forgive and bless us all so we can love ourselves and not be so quick to attack other people.

Women are jealous of each other. That's why. There can only be one woman on top. There's always one greatest female singer, dancer, businesswoman, writer, host. We can't have more than one. Some attack each other looks and set each other back. Those are the women that were never validated as a little girl. They were criticized by mom, or aunt or grandmother so all they know is to bring down other women. It's starts from home but just like what jeannie said about those women that are brought down by the bitter ones "YOUR BOUNCE BACK WILL ALWAYS BE GREATER THAN YOUR SET BACK." KEEP WINNING. YOU DESERVE TO GET A CROWN TOO. I'M PROUD OF YOU SIS.

As women we’re taught to compete with each other. That our only value can be found in receiving attention from men. The medicine to this, is lifting each other up, remembering that our worth is not measured by the validation of men or others. That there is no competition at all. We are not meant to live to compete. ❤️

Men get judged for the way they look and there clothes it happened to me
@mysterydude10005 жыл бұрын
I swear, I felt like everyone of these beautiful women spoke to me personally while I was watching this. I am a 22 yr-old gay man (college student) who honestly feels judged for my looks by my community and society in general. Cus I'm too short, I got patchy facial hair, and I'm chubby. I am currently doing some personal soul-searching, and I found this video at the perfect moment in my life. I honestly can be very catty and negative and I use it as a front and as defense mechanism because I am also unwilling to express my true emotions for fear that my masculinity will be discredited even more than it already is. Tamera told me to start loving myself and to also start loving others. Jeanie told me to have an ambition and work for my goals because its more important than looks. Loni told me that beauty and looks are way too focused on in today's society and we normalize the fact that we judge each others so often and thats not right. and Adrienne said focus on your character; and she's right cus filters help me out ALOT with my selfies but i can't use a filter on this ugly ass attitude i got. They all just helped me out so much right now. This is why I watch them. Different perspectives rarely seen in the media until current years; these ladies are a blessing. Love them.

Loni is such a sweetheart I think that we as women receive a lot of criticism regarding our looks, our bodies, our hair, etc. So we grow up feeling very critical about how we look and end up criticizing each other. ESPECIALLY on social media, even in these comments, people are SO rude. Calling the girls fat and this and that, we need to stop.

Loni made a good point about watch your response because you never know who you’re clapping back to.I control my comments by picking and choosing the stories I comment on.I do that because if it’s a story about a particular rapper,singer or entertainer that may have a younger following I don’t comment.Thats when you may get a very disrespectful clapback to a comment you may leave.And yes many of you younger commenters love to mention peoples ages and call them old or making age related comments to demean.Social media is for everyone not just the young and we should be respectful of everyone regardless of age,race etc.Thanks Adrienne! I was thinking that when she said that about a college degree.I say this all the time.GREAT CONVERSATION!!!!!!!!

Loni, I get what you’re saying. Vanity has rippled through our generation. So many people glorify superficiality. Like you said, looks are now everything instead of character. Social media has created unrealistic standards that women are striving to attain. No make up and natural hair is still and very much okay, please. Be yourself and enjoy it.

I won tickets to a concert this past weekend and I didn't have money to buy new clothes or get my hair done. I was so thankful because I didn't do anything for my bday in early Nov. I rocked my natural puff, Walmart Jean's, sweater and 5 year old Target boots. I had women looking me up and down all night and doing hair flips after turning their back and laughing with their friends. I am such an introvert and haven't been out in a couple years. I really dislike the judgements. I am going through so much and it took a lot of courage for me to even get out of my house. I want to give up every day and I keep pushing through and treating people good and being encouraging. It gets exhausting sometimes.

"Having a good heart goes far beyond having a pretty face cause at the end of the day if you have a whack heart there’s no photo shop for that. If you have a bad personality and a nasty attitude, no filter is gonna fix that. No Snapchat filter, no hearts, no crown, no dog. What do you have to show for what you’ve done for other people? Your acts of kindness throughout the day? If you can go to bed and you’re like, “I smiled at strangers today. I spoke to God. I drank some water, took care of my health." that’s what you should be proud of. What can we do to make about change? Each and every one of us plays a role. Every single one of us. Every person watching this show, every person on social media, you play a role and if you do your part we can make a change." God bless you ladies for discussing this topic. One of my favorite clips.

Lol calling me black is attacking my looks? She literally just said the girl was acting white and said she was not black which she is not. I don’t understand why it’s ok for every other group to call mixed ppl mixed but black ppl have to claim them as black. And if we refuse to do so we are called hatful and racist. Shan has a white grandfather so I don’t see what the problem was.

Everyone on this panel has hurt others with words at some point. Who on this Earth hasn't ? The commenters do it the most infact. Commenters aren't held accountable the way these lovely hosts are. Commenters make Tamera so white jokes etc. and no one demands apologies from them or attacks them. I'm sure the ladies have cried over some of the wicked things commenters say about their looks and weight but they stay professional and focus on the positives in order to keep entertaining us.

All of the people coming for Loni in the comments are annoying. Loni didn't come for Shan's looks, she literally called the woman biracial. She didn't say she was ugly....she made a stupid joke that clearly fell flat. Give her a break. Loni isn't a mean hearted person.
@PopLife-hb3ks5 жыл бұрын
Michelle A. I’m listed as 10% white according to my DNA ancestry results. I make jokes about “my side coming out” all the time. Clearly being part white is a sensitive subject for Shan. She might even be ashamed to be part white. Maybe that’s why Shans feelings were hurt.🤷🏾♀️ Still, I don’t think what Loni said about Shans work was a big deal.
@mimia.48105 жыл бұрын
ife leigh I agree, I think that's it. Shan probably has an identity issue, which isn't uncommon for mixed raced people. So perhaps someone talking about her race is touchy. Either way, it's not Loni's fault. I also think people are coming for Loni because of how Jeannie and the other women reacted to Loni's joke....it made things awkward. You would think Loni said something terrible, but if you just listen to what she's saying you'd see she didn't say anything messed up. Even biracial people make jokes about their "white side" or "black side".
@PopLife-hb3ks5 жыл бұрын
Michelle A. Exactly. The other two women got defensive and made it bigger than it was. Tamera’s got some identities issues from what I’ve seen as well (and things I’ve heard her say as well). Me personally, as a mostly black woman(tee hee) I agree with Loni about the whole cue card on a date not being a good idea at all. It’s such a bad idea to me, and it’s probably partly the culture I’m a part of that makes me feel that way. I date white men too, and I can say that there are some parts of white culture (what white people think is ok) doesn’t resonate with me.
