when I curse, I only do it in the privacy of my mind or my room. occasionally there may be a slip, but I try not to do it a lot. the few times I have done it in public, I was at school with my friends at lunch and I'm telling them about a joke or whatever. any other time I vitae in public, I'm pretty sure I only do if I'm angry at somebody and we curse each other out, but that won't happened to me since 7th grade. I'm 15, most of my family are christians, I need to be able to curb my urges to use words like that.especially if I'm around a family member I don't get along with. I think this is a good thing for me. it has helped me immensely, and all that.

I actually understood what she was trying to imply. Believe it or not, she was making a great point. The response and/or the magnitude of a delivered curse word is going to vary depending on who's saying. A taller, bigger, more hulking individual that curses is going to be more intimidating than someone who is smaller, and more petite. The tone of your voice also has alot to do with it as well but that can be attributed to any kind of person, big or small I guess.

I grew up hearing every cuss word you can think of. To this day my brothers cuss in normal convo and it makes me sick. Needless to say I probably talk to them 3/4 times a year. I definitely don't go to any family reunions or holiday parties. When I hear my coworkers or patients cuss I tune them out and stop talking and hope they shut up.

When I was in my teens, I would justify cussing. But as I grow up, I see how useless it is. From my experience, cussing dampens your ability to effectively communicate with others. While you are throwing f-bombs everywhere, it agitates the people around. Your cussing makes others get defensive and the situation really gets nowhere. Also, as you cuss, you are not effectively expressing what is wrong or why you are angry. It is just useless.
