Every church has/needs someone like that guy in the middle. Probably can't play an instrument as good but boy will they have an incredible feel/ear and a stank face whenever they hear a tasteful riff, run, chord progression and drum fill! They also serve as the ultimate hype man for the pastor come preaching time shouting "well, well, c'mon preach doc!"🤣Love this video, so glad it popped up in my feed again years later.🙏🏽

ThatOneGuyNameGucci nope it's practice practice practice. Even prodigy kids do practice tho they have the gift of rapid understanding, learning and assimilate. So till its all about practice. God has given each of us the grace to be blessed in what we do but it comes to us to ask God to help both in dicipline, courage, strength and encouragement to keep to the practice and at the end it pays off. So to play like this is not God given talent, it's practice practice practice. Am saying this as a bass player.

DBagxD Being agnostic is simply not beliving or worshiping anything or any god simply because of lack of evidence or proof, and also not denying the possibility of anything or god for the same reasons(no evidence). Atheist on the other hand is saying or truly beliving there is no god, which means they are just like believers or god worshipers as they believe they have an answer WITH NO PROOF. There is no hard facts of gods, as there is no hard facts of NO gods. I'm am an agnostic, not an atheist, the year to date(2017) is not enough to change my beliefs. Thanks anyways.

I wish more white churches knew how to praise like this. Actually, my prayer is that "white churches" and "black churches" would integrate, that white Christians would repent of blindness and both intentional and unintentional racism, and that Christ's Body would be restored to true unity in Him. Especially in the United States where I live.

Its such a blessing to play music in church. I'm a drummer as well, I've been playing since I was a little one. I've attended the same church my whole life. Never take for granted playing music in church if you have a position doing so. I love my church but they will not let me play drums in my church. The current drummer won't share and my pastor wont take any stand against this. He has played for countless years and I have asked him if I could just have 1 night to play, just 1. I always get the same answer, he beats around the bush basically telling me no. We have had countless revival services and I have asked nicely if I could just play 1 night during a revival. I have never been shared with when it comes to drums in church. I've only played when he's not there. I have played 1 song during church here and there but never actually had a full service to dedicate my skills to God. I have such a burning passion to play drums in church. I feel so at peace and happy when I'm behind a drum set in church just giving it my all to make a joyful noise. My point to all of you who have a position in church playing music is please enjoy it and do it with your whole heart, because some of us would do almost anything to have a chance to play for God but aren't permitted to. God bless you guys!

So many of the young church drummers videos you see are all about crazy chops and speed. This guy has all that in spades, no doubt, but his playing is so tasteful and musical. In the pocket, not a single wasted note, playing exactly what the song needs.

He is really great and best is his taste in giving the song what it needs and not more adding subtle touches and dynamics great feel which alot of drummers might have crazy fast sticking and fills but lack adding quiet sounds to emphasize everyone else and not draw attention to yourself is a special gift this young man in my opinion has it .
