Back in August I spent one week on a sailing boat in Croatia and I documented the trip on film.
I brought with me a bunch of film cameras (Hasselblad X-Pan, Leica M6, Contax T2) and different film stocks. Unfortunately, I shot my last roll of AGFA Vista 400, an affordable film stock that I really like and that is gone for good. 😢
Part one is the road trip to Croatia before the sailing adventure started.

Hey Robin, when I first got into film again nearly 3 years ago, the first film I shot with was Agfa Vista 400 coincidently also shot with a Contax (SLR). Right after that AV 400 was discontinued but I have one more roll still in my fridge, it's the last roll of Agfa Vista 400 left in the world...(of my fridge)...:). I'm saving it for a special occasion. Great shot of the sunset with the X Pan...

Hello Robin, I'm excited to see the rest of the trip. My wife is Serbian. We've been there twice and are considering trying to see the Croatian coast sometime. We went to Prague, Vienna, and Budapest in 2007, then in 2019 we (along with my 3 kids) went to Paris, Zurich, and Venice. I absolutely love going to Europe. Hence, even though I love the X-pan format, my favorite print is the road with the Alps in the background. Cheers man!

hey! I was wondering did you edit the photos that you took with the kodak vision3 500T? Loving the cool hues on the photos and since I'm new to film photography, I wanted to collect infos on different brands of film rolls. Also, love the video! Keep up the good work!

Lovely! :) Is the contax autofocus only and how well does it do it's job? The guy at the harbour with the xpan is my favourite, it gives me a perspective of how small humans are and how much water there is!

I used it only in manual focus, I don't really trust AF on the t2.

I set the camera to -2 and took a shot. The built in flash has only one power setting.

Seeing these images I wonder if it's true to say that there are no bad films but rather bad scans. I always thought the Vista 400 ain't a great film with only weird colors but with a good lab and scanner it looks awesome! (@Robin: bitte nicht falsch verstehen! Deine Bilder sind wirklich schön, aber wie gesagt: ich bin echt positiv überrascht, was den AGFA Vista 400 angeht! Und ja leck mich fett, wie stark die Kodak Vision3 Bilder aussehen! Krass!)

Ja, den Eindruck habe ich auch. Der beste Film wird bei schlechten Scans eben auch schlecht aussehen. Die Vision 3 Filme sind einfach mega, da kommt auf jeden Fall noch mehr in zukünftigen Videos!

The fisherman's photo is my favourite, no matter some 'imperfections' were mentioned. As that is an area where I grew up my opinion is probably a bit romanticised but I'm really thankful for your sharing of the video. I love the colours of the video, and shooting it really early did the job. One last thing, I cannot help myself but to notice - this Frog photo is taken further south towards Dubrovnik? Beautiful landscape in the back of the photo should be Neretva river confluence and it left me wondering how this fits into sailing 😁 Or your photos and sailing trip won't go always parallely?

It was made by Fuji but I am not sure whether is was Superia or not.
