As Oman is one of few ibadi nations you should vassalize/conquer all other ibadi nations below you (Pate and Mzab). Or conquer the capital cities of the other major nations of Islam (Constantinople, Cairo, Bagdad, Teheran, and Mecca. )

There's always this decision popping up "Confirm thalassocracy" to get one more merchant by dominating trade in a few specific areas of the world. If you're the strongest trader in Hormuz, Gulf of Aden, Zanzibar, Gujarat and Coromandel, you will be able to do it. It should be doable as Oman, especially with those trade-focused national ideas

OMFG! I’ve been trying with a horde run the last few days and restarted Oirat several times. Hammering Ming day 1, and getting the event capturing the Emperor is easy. But then, the thing that kills me is dealing with all the Ming rebels because their nation falls apart during the war. Can’t wait to watch this run for some new tips.

That's the wrong way. You shouldn't fight the rebels for ming, you should wait for mingsplosion and conquer the pieces one by one. The fastest way for the horde, afaik, is: 1.reach 300 development, 2.wait for low mandate after reform, 3.declare for mandate cb and stackwipe ming armies, 4.mingsplosion, 5.conquer the rest, 6.profit!

You go west. kill chagatai day1, then uzbek hordes with tech 4 (this will be the hardest war you fight.). You wait for your ruler to die before you declare on ming. WHY? because via tumu crisis event chain, you get +20% morale of armies , +20% siege ability UNTIL ruler's death. why do you want to waste this amazing bonus on a dying 60 year old ruler. best part of horde gameplay is that when your ruler dies and your heir is a kid, the game gives you a young new ruler on current ruler death. So you are guaranteed 20 yr old khan. imagine having this +20% morale and siege ability for 30-40 years !!

@@Suhaschintala that's what I've said - "reach 300 development". through chagatai, uzbek, manchu tribes, whatever. but if it takes you too long, ming gets mil tech 4 and higher mandate, so you can't stackwipe them too easy. best time is above 300 development, tech 4 you, tech 3 ming, and 20 mandate.

You could also peace out for only a thin strip of land including forts that you border and Beijing after you siege Beijing. Before you peace out position your armies next to their forts and turn them off. The same month tick you peace out, attack a tributary of ming and rush their forts. They should fall quick and peace them out for max money again and full annex the tributary (usually sagir). At that point Ming usually explodes and whenever one pops out you declare on it immediately if you have a border before it gets Allie’s. Continue until you control most of China

You can swap out of the celestial empire. All you need to do is form a country which has a mission that changes ur tier 1 gov. Like Chrakavarti missions for South East Asia for example.

Honestly the first time I played Jianzhou to form Qing, I think I picked exploration either first or second. I did this so I could take all of Siberia before Russia could by snaking to the Urals and North to the Arctic ocean, and then enclosing all of Asia. After that I colonized Alaska and California, basically all of the Western half of North America. With a weak Russia I further spread and eventually got most of Norway, owning essentially all of Asia but India and the Southeast. Basically my point is exploration can be a pretty good start for China or China replacements. 😅

One of my favourite nations is Yuan with mandate of heaven. Have such run where currently created Ilkhanate by 1515, want to nave Mongol Empire borders by 1600 I know that horde me hanic allows to conquer much faster, but world conquest is quite boring for me, also razing rich China provinces breakes my heart, such waste of income. Now with Admin ideas, yuan ideas and edict I core witn 25% cost and its quite amazing

Historical question, based on Mandate of Heaven DLC, why someone taking the mandate of heaven would gain the Shizu estate? For example, Oirat was Tengri and RH did make the religion syncretic with confucian, but wouldn't his estate remain Tengri shamans? Another thing, his capital remains in Qara, right? Not Beijing?

When the Manchu conquered the Ming, they moved capital to Beijing, IIRC. And the old Oirat estates might remain Tengri, but that doesn't mean much when you're conquering a Confucian population 10 times your size. In general, China converts its conquerors to make them more Chinese, simply because they have the population to back it up.

I won't lie, world conquests are so goddamn boring. I'm sure the right person could make it interesting, but it puts me to sleep. I want development of the nation, it's mainly what I play EU4 to do. I love playing Ming. Sitting there, developing, going through the mission tree, nice and chill. Best gameplay. I also love these kinds of videos, clear goal, goal accomplished, there we go.

In terms of saving admin points on not having to stab up so many times, would it make sense to play maybe a tiny bit slower but instead of taking provinces from Ming every time, you could instead force them to pop out Chinese minors that you could then attack yourself and sort of cycle between taking provinces from Ming itself vs provinces from the minors?

No, because the PWSC for releasing nations is the same as just allying them. For the fastest Ming conquest, you should sit on them and tick up war exhaustion, then have little countries pop out due to rebels, then declare on them the day they pop out (so they don't have any allies).

It might not neccesarily be the very best on current patch since there are a lot of stupid strong options, but Oirat is a steppe nomad horde and hordes are broken with their permanent casus bellis and razing, and Oirat starts out as the strongest horde in the game with special events and missions to allow them to easily bulldoze Ming and integrate Mongolia early, and from there the snowball just never stops rolling. Lambdaxx managed a stunning 1472 WC with Oirat using some exploits, but even after those explouts were removed from the game you can still easily do a sub 1500 WC. "Easily" as in that tehre is enougg time to do it mind you, not that it requires no skill.

they are a horde (best gov type for wc) that can get a massive dev boost by an easy first war against ming, then a steady supply of money from subsequent wars (dont take the mandate you want to stay as a horde). All while you are in a decent position to snake everywhere, to central asia and eastern europe, persia, india, etc. Add that you can form Yuan super early too for some of the best ideas in the game. it just gets very strong very fast and gets admin efficiency and 25% core creation cost so you can expand FAST + later you can get the mongol empire gov reform for probably the best government reform in the game
