You should be making at least $700k to “afford” one of these comfortably. Sadly, banks will probably finance these to people who make wayyy less, and indeed increase the likelihood of future bankruptcy for those individuals. Good thing you can pick up a used 570s for 1/3rd of the cost, which basically looks the same as this and is almost as quick.

I'd like to drive a McLaren, but never own one. Some of them look nice until you look closely. Many others are downright ugly. This one is on the ugly list because of the front end around the lights, the rest of it seems okay. I would rather save a lot, buy a 308/328, have a good time and arrive home alive. These cars are dangerously fast and many rich dummies will die

344k for a car that looks built for speed, while a Model S used is 55-60k and dramatically quicker over any distance you'd actually punch it for (hell, even the recent model S has a 200 MPH top speed, so close there too). The era of supercars really feels dead when its not actually the quickest on the road, and then those aesthetics look kinda ridiculous for 99% of adult scenarios. I think we are seeing an era where classy cars will come out ontop (either Tesla style for cheap speed and software or superior interior w/ better suspension like a Mercedes/Bently) over the cartoonish teenage boy style high end cars.

"my Model 3 is just as fast.." let me put it this way, $50K for the new m3P which IS quicker least til 100. Then $100k for a Cyberbeast which will smoke it again till about 100 maybe more. Another $100k for a track pack Model S Plaid that will absolutely destroy this Mclaren all the way to 200! now bill total is $250k. The remaining $100K I'll get a 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 WITH a manual transmission. McLarens uses boost by gear , it’s probably never giving you full power till 3rd or 4th gear, and no rob your model 3 isn’t as fast. 0-60 means nothing when your doing it in 3 seconds , no one races for only 3 seconds 😂
