@marco.morel044 жыл бұрын
@@andrew.woolman7449 Hyundai doesn't honor their warranty if you don't have service records for the vehicle or you cant prove that within the warranty period that it was ONLY serviced by a dealer. I had my Kia Sorento serviced by a dealer only and when the AWD system failed at 111,000 miles (11,000) passed warranty. I took it to the dealer and they quoted me $3,000 dollars and I couldn't afford that. I was a little frustrated so I got a loaner and left my Sorento there while I thought if it was worth it to fix it or get another car. The next day I get a call from Kia corporate and they told me as a thank you for always having my vehicle serviced at the dealership they will fix my vehicle under an extended warranty and they have extended my warranty to 135,000 miles because I was never late on maintenance and it was always done by their dealerships. It currently has 178,000 miles on it and no issues have occurred since. I'm 100% getting another Hyundai product after this one dies

It's important to keep in mind that the G90's market isn't aimed only, or even principally, at the North American market. It's an "executive" sedan in the Asian and European tradition meant to be chauffeured. Thus, the most important seat isn't the driver's; it's the rear seat on the passenger side. Chauffeurs are rare even among affluent American executives. Not so in Asia and Europe where corporations typically lease vehicles for their top executives.
@marcco9544 жыл бұрын
You are right. In Korea, when you visit places where there are many companies or government agencies around, G90 and Equus are everywhere. Limo version isn't rare too.

@@andrew.woolman7449 Well, I'm one of those American viewers who won't be purchasing a G90 but the luxury sedan market isn't completely irrelevant in the US. Americans like BIG vehicles and large luxury sedans remain aspirational automobiles for many consumers. The same is true of Lamborghinis, McLarens, Bentleys, and the most powerful versions of 911's. And like it or not, "immature teenage boys" constitute a huge portion of KZbin viewers. :)

@stephenhendricks1034 жыл бұрын
@@FLAKKU03 Genesis has only recently begun (earlier this year) to offer vehicles in a few European countries, specifically with three showrooms in the UK, Germany, and Switzerland. Whether the Korean brand will be successful in Europe has yet to be determined. In any event sales of large luxury sedans in Europe have plummeted in the COVID-19 era, an overall of a drop of 35% compared to the first quarter of 2019. And that follows a drop of 13% in annual sales in 2019 compared to 2018. It's a small market numerically but I wouldn't be surprised to see Genesis make a significant dent in European sales over the next couple of years.

Yes they are killing it with their new designs and models especially the gv80 which is an actual competitor to the German brands. Kyle Swift I know but that’s the problem. They don’t have their own dealerships. In most places If you are cross shopping luxury cars you can go from dealer to dealer. However luxury dealers and standard brands are normally not on the same street. So people aren’t going to think to drive to Hyundai to get a luxury car. A lot of people don’t even know Genesis is associated with Hyundai.

@joshuastein52954 жыл бұрын
I've said it before but I'll say it again, Genesis NEEDS their own dealers. Hyundai/Kia dealers are notorious for being a terrible place to be and I don't think any luxury buyer will want to buy their $75k luxury sedan at a Hyundai dealer. Luxury also pertains to dealership experience and Lexus has the #1 satisfaction with dealers/service. If Hyundai is smart, they will go the Lexus route and separate the dealers.
@hellkitty10144 жыл бұрын
People get so pissed when I say that, but luxury buyers only fully respect brands that do exactly what you mentioned. Toyota was well aware of that in 1989 when they built separate selling channels for the Lexus brand. That is how they ascended into success so fast!

I love the wheels. There's nothing wrong with covering up the lug nuts. Cleans it up and protects.

Of course, this will not interest anyone shopping for an M/AMG model. But if you comparably equip a regular S Class or 7 Series, this G90 undercuts them by almost 60K! Not to mention, the Genesis is far more reliable. You're doing yourself a real disservice if you don't at least cross shop this car.
@byronnasem41104 жыл бұрын
In addition, the fact that you can top out the G90 at the base price of a v6 S class or and In-line 6 seven series says a lot about the Germans over inflation
@canadabear724 жыл бұрын
@@byronnasem4110 In fact the S Class starts at almost 95K, and that with zero options. This G90 is fully loaded at 79K JUst can't compare from a value standpoint.

I'm on my second G90. I had one of the first 2017 G90's in the area and loved it. The only reason I got rid of it was a fell in love with the 2020 redesign. This is a fantastic luxury car that gives you 95% of the "Germans" at 70% of the cost. Great riding car and my 2020 is even quieter than my 2017. Both are 5.0 Ultimates with AWD.

No massaging seats is a deal breaker in this segment. Also, why does the Sonata have a digital gauge cluster while this doesn’t. Not giving the option of a panoramic sunroof is strange.

This mimics old school American luxury sedans, from the V8 engine and obnoxious size, to the lack of tech features seen in most other cars. It's meant to be simple and smooth, something that, for some reason, we still like paying top dollar for. Why anyone would shell out so much money for an outdated land yacht is beyond me, but to each their own I guess.

Very classy, they are for sure uping the luxury game! I usually do not like wheels in that stile at all, but on this car I believe they really do it justice!

Where did you even find one in NoVa? Is that the one G90 Genesis Springfield has? These are still unavailable here in the DMV. Ended up getting an off-lease S550 after waiting until February for the 2020 G90.
